Accu bonds shooters

No but everything I've shot with them has been boom thump dead. No tracking.

They hold together at least as good, if not better, than partitions. I've shot them exclusively since 2011 for all my big-game hunting.

I've killed 14 elk with a 7-08 and 140 AB's, seen another 5 killed with the same load from my rifle. Ranges from 50 yards to 625 have caught 2 bullets. One on a six point bull at 485 yards, the other a bedded 6 point shot at 100 yards quartering towards pretty hard, busted the on-side shoulder and bullet was just under the hide about 12 inches behind the off shoulder.

Bullet from the first bull at 485:

Second bullet from the bedded 6 point:

Shot 11 elk with a 7 RM and 160 AB's have again caught 2 of them, one on a 6 point bull at 620, another on a bedded 6 point at 178 yards.

Don't have pictures of the bullet recovered at 620.

This one, from the bedded bull at 178, was just under the hide on the far shoulder after breaking ribs in, out, and also the off-side shoulder:

I cant say for sure how many pronghorn and deer I've seen shot with accubonds, but its a bunch, have not recovered one from a pronghorn or deer.

I also have shot oryx, black bear, desert sheep, and shiras moose with them as well, did not recover any from these either.

Pretty good bullet, and again, I would say hold together and perform every bit as good as the partition, which I've also used a lot as well.

I also made the switch from partitions to ACCUBONDS in my 270 wsm and 300 win mag. Every critter I shot has been DRT. My go to bullet in my 7mm dakota is the 180grn berger vld. I have been extremely happy with how the accubonds shot and performed. Held together nice and are real killers and accurate.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-23-19 AT 12:31PM (MST)[p]Weird. Just won a Howa 1500 in 300 win mag at a RMEF banquet. Was looking at the Accubonds and wondered how good the performed on elk. Think I will give them a try!

Btw. For those looking into a new caliber and want to find the lowest prices ammo check out ammoseek. Most places want over $40/box for this ammunition but at around $33 on ammoseek. You still have to watch shopping chargers though.

Several recovered 160 Accubonds out of my 7STW at 3200fps, they all look just like yours. 140?s out of my 280 at 3050 FPS look the same too.
Awesome bullets.

Here's my 7mm rem. mag. 160gr accubond from my 2017 bull.
