Does anyone have an educated guess on when I would be able to get into the roadless area due to the snow? My 15 year old daughter drew this tag and I'm trying to plan our hunt around her school and my work. I've been told when the snow is this deep it's usually around Memorial day when the roads are dry enough to get in to the Tenmile area.

It's still gonna be a while. There's still a lot of snow on both ends. I would expect no earlier than the first of May.

Do people really start scouting/learning an area in MAY? Or is it shed hunting?

Sorry, I really don't know the answer to my question.

Yeah I already know where I'm going, I just don't know when I can get there. I'm hoping there are shed hunters that would have a good idea when I can get back in there. I've never been to the roadless area in the Spring on heavy snow years.

I had the Nine Mile tag 2 years ago, so kind of similar area. We went down to bait I think around may 20, and the back roads were about 90% clear. We had a lot of snow over that winter also.
