So how many of you need an accurate range at 2200 yards?

Vortex sent me an email about this new rangefinder they've got available. Incredible! Up to 2200 yards!
I know that there probably isn't anyone shooting that far at game (at least I hope not) and the rangefinder is meant for guys who just like the challenge of shooting that far at targets. It would be real helpful as well on a stalk for ranging distant ridges, distance to the bottom of a canyon, etc.
I guess I use my 600 yard rangefinder all the time trying to range distances between possible shooting positions to possible locations of game without needing to hike to the possible shooting positions.

Anyway, pretty neat gear from Vortex. I was just curious how many of you might need a rangefinder for shooting 2200 yards.

Those must not even be out yet. I tried doing a search on the interweb to see what the specs and price are for them and couldn't find anything.

I'm waitin for the 4,000 yard RF to come out!

I know so many people in so many places
They make allot of money but they got sad faces

It Ain't Easy being Me!:D:D:D

For target practice, I've not had a need to range anything that far. I use my rangefinder (Sig Kilo 2200), as you pointed out, to range the next canyon during stalks, etc.

It might be good for some of the older guys to make sure they don't wander off too far from the truck. :D
