whats your safari plans after sci?

my wife and i never attended sci's national convention and we were highly impressed. that isby farthe coolesthunting convenion i have ever been to. i dont think i will ever go to hunt expo again after that. i wasnt able to get my nm elk tag at rmef so i went to sci. i was so taken in by it all that i booked many of my dream hunts. this year we are going to zambia for sable eland waterbuck and impala. then we go to zimbabwe for giraffe, croc, buffalos and a leopard. we have also tentatively planned a 2013 lion hunt in zimbabwe and an october 2013 hunt in canada for alaskan moose for me and my wife.

did anyone else book at sci or am i the only sucker?

I would have liked to have went. I'll be at the Expo for the week and am looking forward to going. I guess we will see how it goes.

I hope you are excited to go sheep hunting in a few weeks. Me and Kevin will call you when we get down there.

I'd love to be going to Africa this year. But, I guess I can wait until 2014...

Another great SCI show. I've been to quite a few & this one was probably the best one yet. I enjoyed the venue.

I'm in Australia in June for double trophy buffalo.
Belgium in August for Roe deer/European wild boar.
Tanzania in October for leopard, sable, hippo, etc.

tanzania? i couldnt justify their prices with the guys i talked to. i turned down the zambia and tanzania quotes due to all those excessive government fees. hence the reason i booked in zimbabwe. maybe im just a tight wad to. if you kill a big buff in tanzania u better post pics buddy!

I went with the intent of looking at Zambia Buff and Plainsgame and Namibia Plainsgame.

I found the outfit in Zambia I would go with but $$$ wise that trip will have to wait. There are a few extra species in Zambia that are not elsewhere and I cannot go without taking some of them as well like a Kafue Flats Lechwe.

I had three Namibia outfitters in mind and sat down and visited with them all extensively. All three are great and I think they would all do a fine job. Now I am home doing more research with the hope of getting it booked sooner than later for 13 or 14.

i went and loved the show the taxidermy was AMAZING,,, i booked a SA hunt with choronga safaris.. a bow hunting only set up, we booked for sep 2013

sixthtine. Congrats. Africa is so so addicting. Everything in the states pales for me now. I would spend every hunting day the rest of my life over there if I could but there are still a few local places and foreign places like NZ that are on the list. I am trying to finalize details of my Namibia trip in the next month or so for next year.
