I just got home this evening from my hunt in Zambia and will post more next week when I get caught up at work. Had a great time and took some fantastic animals like a 40 1/2? Livingstone Eland, 30? Kafue Lechwe and Puku that went over 18?.

Did not get a Sitatunga, though we hunted our butts off for a bull we were confident was over 30?, which is a huge Sitatunga. Could have shot a smaller bull but we focused my entire last week on hunting that big bull exclusively. Never got a shot opportunity at him and barely tried for anything else as we were totally focused on Sitatunga. Up at 3:30 every morning and seldom Got back to camp at end of day before 8:00 PM.

The areas I hunted were loaded with game. We saw over 1,000 puku, hundreds of warthogs plus all sorts of other game from sable to bushbuck, waterbuck and Lichtenstein Hartebeest. Best camp I've ever been in, along with outstanding food and scenery. Had up close encounters with elephants and lions.... on foot.

I'd go back again without hesitation. Eventually, I'll get that Sitatunga I so want.

Congrats, sounds like an amazing trophy area. Always next time, and the anticipation will just make it better.

Roland, that is a Livingstone Eland, not LDE. You?re not the first fellow that has mistaken it for a Lord Derby. I was quite fortunate to take such a great Livingstone?s. ______________________________________________________
