With deductions, this mule deer buck scores less than the new
Montana state record. It was shot in area 270, in the east fork of Bitterroot area. This was on the e-mail and also stated it was a 41" spread.

When I first saw these pictures I thought I had seen them but could not be certain. And the 41" spread did not make sense because the inside distance between the fenderwells is right at 48". Just thought I would post and see what came of this, now we know.
Still a nice buck none the less.
That buck isn't even 36" wide, let alone 41". He's more like 32-33" and probably grosses mid 190s I'd guess. One hell of a buck, bigger than most guys will ever have a chance to shoot. Damn good G4s!
