Anybody hunt it during rifle? Got any thoughts?

I have hunted it once with a rifle and once with a muzzy. When is your season? I think the dates are all different now. PM if you want.

My thoughts-its a long ways to town from anywhere in Unit 81 and when you get to town it ain't much.

There are tons of elk and elk hunters. Talk to them they are helpful.

Country is open and deer density isn't really high but when you find them....that's where they are! and there may be a bunch. I never saw any giants but lots of mature deer are in the unit. Roads aren't great.

I haven't got the PM thing quite figured out. I don't mind far from town. In fact, prefer it... Just been reading on here about the decline in quality. And starting to wonder if it's worth the points...

Yes elk, you can see my oops. Luckily didn't ruin any meat. Second shot robbed me of a deer heart dinner. I'm not sure which I was more disappointed about... lol
