Makes you wonder how many you've looked straight at and never saw.
A few years ago on a WY mule deer hunt, I turned a corner and spotted about 10 does feeding about 800 yards from me. I dropped down and scanned and scanned with and without binocs. After about 45 minutes, I decided I wasn't going to just sit there watching does. When I stood up, 3 bucks jumped up from under he shade of a rock I had scanned at least a dozen times. Oh well. Live and learn!

Joe2Kool: I had an experience once glassing does- I spooked them, and the ran over a hill; then slowly filed back and some actually bedded down below me. I glassed and glassed; never did spot a buck, so I decided to move on. Sidehilled a little bit and looked on an adjacent ridge, and there he was- a nice three point. He'd been there the whole time watching me and the does!
