For those considering North Eastern Montana for speed goats you may want to think about a region 7 tag. I went out and took a bunch of pics of all the dead antelope. They are everywhere around here. Sad to see but that's nature.

Did you see any alive? I hear the populations in the rest of the state are still pretty good. Too bad about your area. How bout the birds. I bet they faired even worse...

Here are 6 head that we found but there sure aren't the numbers as before. We also had a big migration out of Canada and almost all of them died.

The birds were killed off in big numbers especially the pheasants.

How'd the whitetails do up there? With any kind of luck I'll be headed that way this fall. Thanks for the pics.

DeerKing,
The whiteys faired much better. I took some pics of fields on the Milk River that held up to 200 deer. They had minimal winter kill. Also the Muley's seem to have come through the winter in good shape as well.
