My wife drew this tag. I know 072 way better but she gets 5 choices. :)

Anyways, is anyone willing to give me a starting place?

We are going to spend 5 days looking around over July 4th.

"everywhere"

They are from the river bottom along I-80 to Alder Mountain on the Idaho border.

One idea might be to stop at the Maggie Creek Ranch (or call beforehand) and obtain a permission slip for some of the southern parts.

Good luck.

I have hunted that area 2 times for Antelope. One buck I took just south of Merritt mountain and one just north and east of Merritt mountain on the Idaho border. Not a lot of antelope in that area but that's where I took mine. Pretty fun, I hardly saw anyone on my hunts there.

The information Hunter gave above is accurate.

She killed a beautiful 15" buck.

But I saw a pig I would have hunted but there was no road between us and him, just a 1,000 foot deep canyon.

She missed a better one the day before but it was my fault, told her to hold on the top of his back at 350 but I'd only shot her gun to 300.

Her buck was 220 yards, DOA.

Had the tag over a decade ago. Killed mine north of wild horse reservoir. I think it was at sunflower flat. There were bigger bucks but bird in the hand thing. Good luck and happy hunting.
