I guess us old timers wore the millennials and thin skinned progressives down to the core. Good night Irene.

Low information voters. LMMFAO

Did you read the 32 page scientific study of over 1200 voters? I did - and the empirical evidence is overwhelming... the less informed people are, the more likely they are to vote for Trump. That continues today with his base being uneducated white males.

But the fact that you didn't read the study prior to your post, and your substanceless response reveals that, pretty much proves their point. Ignorance is bliss, I guess... except that it gave us Trump.

you're funny grizzly....so much smarter too...

a whole different level than us hicks....

Lots of articles are written by people educated beyond their intelligence....

There are plenty of 'smart' hicks, what the science shows is there aren't many 'educated' Trump supporters.

There are other scientific polls that support the evidence as well with questions that are seemingly simple, such as:

- How many years does a United States Senator hold office before his/her next election?

- How many members are in the United States House of Representatives?

- What does NATO stand for?

Those with the lowest correct score on questions such as these are the most likely to vote for Trump.

If YBO is uncomfortable with the answer to his questions, he should cease to ask them.

Eventually, people realize what I posted above... You can explain something to somebody, but you can't understand it for them. That's especially true when an individual makes no attempt to understand something which they fear may contradict that which they believe they already believe.

It can be explained to you, but it can't be learned for you.
I tried to read the attachment. I'm too stoopid to understand how anyone could take it seriously. Lead author's credentials are that he is from world famous Hunter College?

I sure hope them dummies get riled up again.

And, believes the Russians affected the outcome of the 2016 Presidential election!

Hey Grizz, sorry for my ignorance, the link you shared was down, so I couldn't read it. Who were the 1200 "voters" that were studied? My guess is that it wasn't a random selection of likely voters, you know, like the ones that had Hillary with a 98% chance of winning the presidential election.
I for one will be voting for Trump in this next election, and I got myself one of them degree's from a real nice, distinguished colleges.
Good luck with your highly educated Warren, Biden and Sanders.

Talking with Trump supporters is like kicking an anthill, they get all riled up and climb all over each other but don't actually go anywhere. Eighteen posts in and nothing but attacks, suppositions, random irrelevant gibberish, and the odd Jeremiah Johnson reference. Not a single cogent retort. And the irony is that is exactly what the studies show about Trump supporters, they know not of what they speak... But they'll be damned if they're going to consider an alternative.

I'm a lifelong Republican, heck I was a delegate in 2008. But my Conservatism is a principled conservatism that aligns more closely with George Will, Charles Krauthammer, and George HW Bush. Trump is in no way a principled conservative and his supporters (Rush, Hannity, et al) are nothing more than carnival barkers and WWE promoters (ironically, Trump is in the WWE Hall of Fame). Trump is dependent on keeping his supporters in the dark, hence his constant attacks on anybody who shines light on his failures. He even proudly brags about shooting somebody on the street and his supporters still voting for him. He knows they're not objective thinkers with their own thoughts and will do whatever he tells them to do. He takes advantage of his voters and they sit there like lap dogs and eat it up. I'm just not the type to get suckered into it.

But if it makes you feel better to attack me as something I'm not instead of looking inward as to why the least-educated and least-informed are most likely to support Trump... that's fine with me as it's completely inconsequential.

PS. Is everybody here okay with Trump tucking tail and running from Iran when we still have 17 members of our Armed Forces hospitalized with Traumatic Brain Injuries from their missile attack on our bases? Or do they still believe Trump when he says their injuries "aren't serious" (I bet their wives and children don't agree) and that we should allow an enemy government to attack our troops in their beds and let it go unpunished?

Yep. Just did. More ignorant name-calling with no intelligent retort.

Grizzly, you are in the minority for wanting Trump to escalate a war with Iran. Since the majority of Americans disagree with you on that point that makes your opinion almost worthless.
You just have a severe case of TDS and you do not have big enough brass ones to just admit it and try to justify your opinion with out right B.S.

I never said that I wanted a war with Iran, I was merely asking the Trump supporters if they were comfortable with his decision to pretend nothing happened when we had nearly three dozen soldiers hospitalized with, perhaps for some, permanent injuries.

When was the last time an American President did not respond militarily to a foreign nation attacking our troops with military might? Serious question, when was it? This wasn't even a government-backed militia, but literally a military strike on our soldiers while they slept... and we did nothing! And y'all thought Obama's "red line" was weak.

As to your majority comment... According to an FNC poll today, the majority of people want Trump removed from office. Trump is the only President to never have earned support of the majority of Americans via any major poll. Hillary had more votes (a larger majority) than Trump in the last election. Yet, here we sit with an absolute dunderhead in the Oval Office. I guess people not in the majority aren't "worthless".

I do feel like with regards to Iran you are leaving out the fact we did blow up their top ranked general, and arguably the 2nd or 3rd most powerful person in the country.

I have an MBA for what it is worth.

He was probably #2, but that's not the point. The response is the point.

It's probably not a good idea to attack a military leader from another country if you're not ready to respond to the fallout. It makes us weak, by Trump's own words. That's why he tweeted we had 52 targets ready to strike if they reciprocated and when they did, he packed it in and said nobody was injured... which we now know was another lie.

You didn't answer my question - Has an American President ever NOT responded with military might when a foreign enemy government launched a direct military strike against our troops? Especially at night, aimed at our barracks in an attempt to do the most damage possible? If it wasn't for our early warning system we'd likely have hundreds of American Soldiers killed. And then what? Do we then get into war with Iran? If not, what was our plan when we killed their General? Did Trump always intend to throw the first punch, get kicked in the teeth, and then surrender while declaring victory by lying to the American people? Trump just started a fight he wasn't prepared to finish. IDIOTIC AND WEAK!

Talk about weak. Did you get that info from Yahoo or Msnbc?

^^^Everybody, this is what the scientists were referring to with Trump supporters...

Pollster: Mr. YBO, how many soldiers were injured as a result of Iran's attacks on our military bases?

YBO: None. Trump said so.

Pollster: Actually, the Pentagon has now said that 34 soldiers were injured in the attack. 17 were transferred to the USA or American hospitals in Germany and are still hospitalized over two weeks later suffering from Traumatic Brain Injuries.

YBO: Nuh-uh, Trump said nobody was injured and Fox News played the clip over and over.

Pollster: Does this new information make you question the information you're receiving from Trump and Fox News?

YBO: (screaming) You're a liberal pollster idiot thin-skinned millennial trying to take down 'Merica and bring brown people and socialism to my country. Never call me again. If it's not from Hannity then I don't believe it and it's Fake News and Deep State!

(Hangs up phone and reads Breitbart and Ann Coulter; never wondering what else he doesn't know)

Benghazi for $500 grizz.

Lead author's credentials are that he is from world famous Hunter College?

I sure hope them dummies get riled up again.

Grizz, To be clear I was mocking the article you linked. Doesn't make for a very strong argument.

I know what you attempted to do, you just failed miserably. You probably should have researched Hunter College first as it's part of the CUNY program. It's #23 in the North Region (US News & World Report College Rankings) and has produced two Nobel Prize winners for Medicine.

Clearly your point was meritless and counterproductive to your own argument. I let it go but if you want to dredge it back up, we can.

PS. Also, if you want to use college credentials for legitimacy of ones perspective then you'd have to acknowledge that the higher level of education a person receives, the less likely they are to support Trump. So, again, you should've let it go.

Benghazi for $500 grizz.

Hillary/Obama were wrong and weak and it shouldn't have happened. See, that's an honest answer. There's no politics there. The dishonest ones are the ones that bring up Benghazi (which was a militia attack, hugely different) and sit idly by while our President starts a fight with another country and allows our soldiers to be bombed while he lies to the American people to give cover for the fact he won't finish the fight he started.

Nobody has answered if a President has ever failed to defend our troops from attack by a foreign government besides Trump. Anybody?

Damn, I just sold all my red MAGA hats.
Signed, a blue collar with a Masters who's 401k has gone up 500k in the last 3 years! KAG

Grizzly just like most TDS persons, you like to leave some facts out in order to make your point sound more devastation. Those concussion injuries were not reported until several days later.
Trump gave his comment on "no injuries" within hours of the missile strike.
As for not striking back, smart move on Trump's part based on majority opinion just before a major election. After he wins his election, I think he will strike Iran in order to destroy their ability to make nukes. I would not be surprised if Israel will also be involved in the strike and the Saudis will give their blessing.
He is still a far better president then Hillary would ever have been, and the Democrat candidates today can not hold a candle to Trump for the betterment of this country.

Thanks for clearing that up. Just to make sure I gets it right, who should I vote for?
Whomever you want. I don't even know who I'm voting for. Just don't be the statistically accurate uninformed Trump voter.

USS Liberty. What do I win?

Haha. The ship mistakenly attacked by our ally, Israel, when they thought it was an Egyptian ship during the Six Day War, of which we weren't even involved. Israel quickly apologized. This is much more akin to Iran shooting down the passenger aircraft two weeks ago then the attack on our troops.

Anybody else? Serious question, because I don't know of any President that has done what Trump just did.

Absolutely wrong on the concussions. Also, Trump is still saying he doesn't consider the injuries "serious" as his cover for saying there were no injuries.

If you're right that Trump is going to strike Iran, you better be darn well ready for it if you're going to vote for him. Not to mention the problem with a President risking national security by striking Iran when he doesn't want to go to war, but then delaying war until after the election because it's unpopular and may hurt his chances at reelection. That in now way represents the characteristics of a good leader.

Also, the real TDS are the people that support Trump out of positions of indefensible ignorance. That is the definition of Trump Derangement Syndrome!

Some people who were involved disagree. And Israel paid for some reason. Just admit I'm right.

Some people who were involved disagree. And Israel paid for some reason. Just admit I'm right.
And some people think we didn't land on the moon. And some people think Bush brought down the Twin Towers to start a war so his friends could get rich.

Both governments agreed it was a mistake, the was no tactical reason to strike our ship as we weren't involved, there was no further aggression towards US forces, and of course they paid, they acknowledged they did it.

I've said multiple times that I don't know of another case. I've acknowledged I don't know the answer, but USS Liberty ain't it.

You asked for an example of when a president didn't respond militarily to an attack by a foreign government. I gave you one that even a trump voter could agree with.

How many dead Americans on the USS Liberty, 34? 170 injured? Not an attack?

Taking this from a different perspective, you could argue our embassy was under attack and the missiles launch at the general were a retaliation to us being attacked. I dont think the event can be viewed in a vacuum.

I guess with Iran killing more of their civilians (shot down the Ukrainian plane) in their missle launch then US service members, I'm not sure what point you want Trump to prove other than trying to intentionally get us into a war. Personally, I'm a big fan of the sanctions and letting them slowly weaken Iran.

And some people think we didn't land on the moon. And some people think Bush brought down the Twin Towers to start a war so his friends could get rich.
Mainly in academia. The esteemed Hunter College probably has classes where you learn about such things.

...the longer you're in college....the longer liberal professors have to mold the weak minds.....to convince them they are the smartest...

...the longer you're in college....the longer liberal professors have to mold the weak minds.....to convince them they are the smartest...

Does that apply to Roberts, Alito, Ginsberg, Kavanaugh, Thomas, Gorsuch, Kennedy, Trump, Bush, Warren, Obama, etc...?

They're all Ivy League Graduates.

Or maybe it's because leaders of both political persuasions went to good schools because they really are smarter than most. Even Bluehair has made the argument that better colleges make more qualified individuals.

But without thinking it through, YBO jumps all over the promotion of ignorance and lack of education. He probably regrets starting this thread, especially since the entire premise was name calling and attacking those with whom he disagrees.

I will accept this as your admission that I was right. But again to clear things up for you, I was mocking the "study" you linked and academia in general. You should refresh the link so people can judge for themselves.

The rest of your argument is between you and your straw men.

Taking this from a different perspective, you could argue our embassy was under attack and the missiles launch at the general were a retaliation to us being attacked. I dont think the event can be viewed in a vacuum.

Hey, finally somebody with some informed and relative input! Totally agree, but we'd have to take it to the procuring cause...

Militia killed an American Contractor, we retaliated and killed 27 militia, the militia attacked our embassy, we killed their General, they launched over a dozen missiles at our troops. Obviously, the first attack against a State was our attack against the General... prior to that it was militia. But you're correct it was an escalating chain of events.

Sure grizz, and the reason they attacked was because of an internet video right? I mean Susan Rice told us so 6 different times that sunday morning. I wasn't in Baghdad and neither were you, and it should be clear to you by now we unfortunately can't trust our media. Are they suffering symptoms of concussion or TBI? Neither of us knows for sure if we're being honest. Would you preferred he escalated things further? Would you have then screamed "Trump is a warmonger" due to your TDS? They launched another rocket recently, they keep it up you may get your opportunity.

Grizz, I copied this from my earlier lost. But it seems that this discussion has taken a turn in a different direction.

Also, if you think Warren is highly intelligent, because of her Ivy League degree, would you please send me some of your money so I can send my next two kids to college for free?

I honestly don't know if your "conservative" like you claim or not, but I'm always a bit cynical about people responding to posts, with links to an article someone else wrote. Especially an article written by a liberal political science professor that has a biased against the bad white guys.

Those are just some of my thoughts. But I will agree with you on one point. Any attack on our military should be dealt with quickly and with a vengeance. And we shouldn't start something that we won't finish.

Since this thread is about Trump and his possible failures as seen by liberals, let us go off course a bit on another matter. That matter will be the Ukraine fiasco.
If the Senate should vote to hear from more witness's like Bolton, the GOP members should listen to the advice of Trey Gowdy and call Joe & Hunter Biden and also former president Obama as a witness.
Bolton does not have that much creditability due to being irate over being fired by Trump and the timing of his leaking information on Trump on the day before his tell all book comes out for purchase. Looks like an attempt by him to sell more copies and get payback at the same time. Shades of Adam Schiff on lying.
Joe & Hunter Biden need to be interviewed about their dealings with Ukraine Burisma and Joe admitting on video that he threaten Ukraine officials of withholding 1 billion dollars in aid money unless they fire that prosecutor that was investigating Burisma for corruption that would stop Hunter Biden from making money off of them as a board member.

During that video Joe admitted the Ukraine official made statements if Obama was backing Joe on with holding the money, and Joe admitted on the video that the Ukraine official could call President Obama and would find out that Obama is backing his decision on the aid money. Obama needs to testify if he had knowledge what Joe did and if he allowed it . We do not need to get in to the fact that five members of the Biden family have gotten very rich on getting hired by companies who later received lucrative federal contracts after hiring a Biden family member.
This incident was a possible criminal violation by Joe Biden and if Obama backed it, he is a co-conspirator.
If you recall Obama on finding out Joe Biden was running for President stated to Biden, "Joe you do not have to do this". Obama knows when you run for president, every Tom, Dick, and Harry will be prying into your background to find dirt on you. Obama may have been fearful this would happen to Biden and would involve him as Joe was his vice president and he did nothing to stop it, maybe even condone it.
RELH

Well, thats likely to be the last we see of grizz down here for a bit.

Alright, its been a helluva day so I'll try and catch up quickly.

I won't bet whether or not Trump will win because I've never predicted he'll lose. Just because I don't think he should be President doesn't mean he won't win. That's nothing but honesty. I don't like it, but it may happen... especially if the Dems run somebody like Warren or Sanders.

Hwy, I think Warren is likely highly intelligent but also a total idiot. I will never vote for her.

In 2016, I wrote in John Huntsman Jr for President.

RELH, thanks for the thoughtful post. I do think Bolton should testify, even he has stated he has new and relevant information... that should be the definition of somebody that is needed to testify. The Repubs have promised the country they have no intention of being impartial (their words, not mine) and have inadvertently made it so even an acquittal rings hollow. They would have been smarter to feign impartiality even if their intention was to acquit at all costs.

If Biden did something wrong, he should be held accountable as should Trump. I don't think this impeachment proceeding is the place to investigate Biden but I would have no problem with a separate investigation. Bringing Biden's issues to the forefront of this venue is like a murder suspect trying to portray the victim as running a fraud scheme -- no judge would allow it to be entered into evidence. Whether or not the victim is a bad guy doesn't make the murder more or less legal... just as whether or not Hunter Biden took money from Burisma doesn't make the extortion of Ukraine any more or less legal. Again, I have no issue with an investigation of Biden, just do it in the proper place. If they investigate Biden, he should not be allowed to enter the Trump Foundation into his trial either, for example... they're all separate and should remain that way.

If we're going after the Biden's family dealings, the Trump family dealings in China and Indonesia aren't going to look much better. This isn't a defense of Biden, its an indictment of all the corrupt politicians. I say we should get them ALL, regardless of the R or D after their names.

K, I think I'm caught up. Gotta run, tomorrow is even worse than today.

Grizzly is 100% correct - everyone should be held accountable both Dems & Repubs ! Allow Bolton and other witnesses to testify even if it brings down members of both parties. These dam corrupt politicians need to be held accountable just like we are held accountable in our jobs and every day lives. All the dirty laundry in Washington should be aired and "We" the American people have a right to know.

^^^ And that, folks, is the true definition of Trump Derangement Syndrome! When Trump says he could shoot a person on 5th Avenue and his supporters will still vote for him, he's describing the true TDS! An honest person wouldn't vote for a person regardless of their actions, they'd vote for them because of their actions.

It must really tick off DW to know that whatever he does in the polling both in November, his vote still goes to the Democrat! ???

I would like to see a long term sting operation to catch dirty politicians that are willing to sell their office for financial gains and i do not care what party they are in. I will say this, my personal feeling is that far more Democrats will be found dirty then Republicans.
I base that on recent findings for the past 10 years of dirty ones caught and others which had strong suspicion but not indicted. The scary part with the Democrats is how far up the chain it went.
Hillary & Bill Clinton, Joe Biden, and even Obama with that book deal involving "CORE".

Maybe you haven't been paying attention grizz, unemployment historic lows, stock market record highs, GDP above what the magic negro said it would ever be again, fair trade deals being made, no more pussyfootin around with terrorists. I am voting for him because of his actions, you dont like him because of his words. Actually that's another reason I'm voting for him again, seeing the TDS inflicted turn themselves inside out over a tweet is more enjoyable than I ever thought possible. God bless our founders and the electoral college eh comrade?

Centerfire, Trump has delivered far more on his campaign promises then any other President since Ronald Regan. He has proved Obama wrong on many points of what Obama said Trump could not exceed at, the economy being the major promise kept. He destroyed Obama's so called legacy and piss poor achievements and did it in 3 years as compared to Obama's 8 years. I for one do not want to go back to piss poor Democrats in the White House. DO YOU ?
Which social liberal do you plan to vote for? Have a pair of brass ones and tell us who you plan to vote for President since you do not like Trump. We need some more laughs. You have a great choice between a crook like Biden and several left wing liberal commies.

There you go pulling out conspiracy theories again as fact. Yet another Low Information Voter!

This is what Alan Dershowitz, Trump's attorney, was referring to in 2016 when he stated of Trump, he “openly embraces fringe conspiracy theories peddled by extremists.”

Mueller's investigation alone (the one Trump called a hoax and a witch hunt) has led to the following:

Feel free to do some google searching for the rest, this is just an easy little picture for you. There are plenty of articles for those interested in gaining a depth of knowledge. The problem is that those with TDS avoid learning actual information as they'd rather hide under their desks in homemade tinfoil hats and read provably false garbage to regurgitate online in total ignorance.

Now you're going to prove me right by doing exactly what I just said. Go ahead

Grizzly there you go again and fail to tell both sides of the story. There was a massive coverup on Hillary and her foundation by the Obama adminstration and the FBI led by the liar himself, James Comey. So what you are saying is that subpoenas matter, and should not just be ignored, blocked, or otherwise obstructed, or one would be guilty of obstruction of justice and should be arrested? I believe those sound like perfectly fine rules for politicians to be held accountable to. I guess the only difference in our views is that I actually believe those rules should apply to any politician regardless of the letter by their name.

RELH, there you go making accusations yet not a single person is sitting in prison right now for the crimes you allege. I guess the Republican House Oversight Committee and Trey Gowdy are part of the Deep State since they couldn't find anything in years of investigations and depositions!

Eel, the TDS from you guys is a true illness! But at least you acknowledge they were convicted, unlike DW. There are a bunch of powerful people that have been convicted in Federal Court or pled guilty under their own power... and your interpretation is that they're innocent and just wouldn't lie about Trump and that somehow made them guilty of unrelated federal crimes? That is literally one of the stupidest things I've ever heard! And PS... You claimed in your post that any investigation of the elite would result in the same... yet Clinton's were exonerated by Gowdy and US Atty for the State of Utah, John Huber, after multi-year investigations. They could find nothing wrong! At the same time, Trump's buddies are lining up to plead guilty and go to federal prison, or taking their chances and then getting convicted. Facts are facts and they're indisputable. There has never been an Administration with even a sliver of the criminal record of this Administration, and we're only three years in.

DW, you truly are the lowest information voter I've ever witnessed. I can give you the names of the convicted and you still refuse to acknowledge it. Every Trump supporter on MM should want you to shut up as you're dragging the collective group to unforeseen lows, and that's especially bad for a group that is already Trump supporters. If you want to know what they were convicted of, start googling. But grab a beer while you do it because you'll be there awhile, there are dozens of convictions to read through. What's your argument? That Roger Stone and Paul Manafort weren't actually convicted because if you refuse to read it then it didn't actually happen? LOW INFORMATION VOTER!!! TDS!!!

As I said at the beginning, I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

lmao....I know who he is....there are republican never Trumpers like you all over....THEY are part of the swamp.

You look down your nose at us like them...be proud

I don't look down my nose at Trump supporters, I do however have no respect for the LIV. I'll respect any thought-out opinion, virtually every member of my family is a Trump supporter, yet they can justify their position. I've yet to see that here. There's been virtually no intelligent response other than name-calling from the TDS crowd.

Just like you guys here alleging that anybody who wants Trump out is a socialist liberal millennial flat-brimmer AOC-loving never-Trumper part of the swamp.

The Trumpeter crowd here hides their collective heads in the sand while posting other people's memes as if that makes them clever. Get educated and we can talk. Repeat conspiracy theories and completely unjustifiable garbage and the Trump hole only gets deeper.

PS. The Pentagon today increased the brain injuries suffered from the Iran attack up to 50. Trump probably shouldn't have attacked another country when he's just going to hang his soldiers out to dry afterwards. If there's one thing I know about my friends in the Armed Forces, they want a fighter as Commander In Chief, not a punch and runner.

none of these witnesses were subpoena'd by the house Sam......
Wrong. Kupperman, for example, ignored his subpoena. He then went to court and the House withdrew it (after he already had failed to appear) as they decided to not wait for courts that could drag out until summer... such as the cases going before SCOTUS. This is what Trump wanted as he wanted the impeachment expedited.

Maybe Griz can answer some questions for us. Why was the dishonorably discharged, drug using, coke snorting, dead brother's wife dating, stripper impregnating, refusing to pay child support while driving a $150K Porsche Panamera and living in a $12k per month Beverly Hills mansion, son of the sitting VP and current front runner for the democrat Presidential nomination hired by a foreign company with zero experience or qualifications for the job he was hired for? Maybe griz can tell us how Biden Jr. somehow managed to land a no show job earning $80k + per mo. & multi millions while sitting on the board of a corrupt Ukrainian gas company, owned by a corrupt Ukrainian oligarch while having no experience in the gas or oil business without the ability to speak the Ukrainian language? Maybe Griz can answer this for us? Could it be that the company was seeking to curry favor and influence with the then sitting V.P. of the US and the father of the coke snorting, deadbeat, stripper impregnating son? Perhaps Hillary, Obama & a whole slew of other corrupt democrats taught him that YES politicians are indeed for sale to the highest bidder while using our taxpayer dollars. Would investigating foreign corruption fall under the job description & purview of the President of the United States? Seems to me that these would be things that the American taxpayer has a right to know. Maybe quid pro quo Joe can answer some of these questions. I'd like to see the transcripts of all the phone calls that set his deadbeat son up with such a sweet gig. You Griz?

that's the way it works grizz.....are you denying the legitimacy of privilege???

Actually a quick list of ignored subpoenas-
Mick Mulvaney, Michael Ellis, Robert Blair, Brian McCormack, Rudy G, Pompeo, and of course the documents subpoenaed from the white house which of course have been refused. Many of the subpoenas that were actually complied with were required to get people to come in after the white house told them not to comply with requests for voluntary depositions.
The house democrats made a lot of mistakes- they should have subpoenaed Bolton- he dared them to, and for whatever reason they did not- probably because he said he wouldn't appear unless a court said it was valid. They should have put it on the record anyway. They also should have filed all the contempt charges for those that ignored subpoenas. They got in a hurry (then sat on them anyway).

You can have your own opinion, but you can't have your own facts.
