9 Seconds to Decide ... Big Enough for You???

Depends on what State! here in AZ., probably not, on a general late hunt maybe. Most States Shoot. Unless its a great covetted tag...................BULL!

It appears to be mid summer. The bull is still in velvet and growing a 7th point on his left side and has a summer coat with a big belly. It’s a big bull.

Maybe last day, but not going 3 miles for that bull.

But really All depends on where you hunting. In an over the counter Colorado tag yes all day long. For a NM bull tag I drew this year, nope.

I've never seen a hunting forum that was more trophy orientated than this one.

Doesn't anybody hunt for meat?

I do with my 2 cow tags and all the other doe tags I have every year. But when I get a bull tag or I’m hunting for bucks, I try to dig out the best animal my unit and time allows. I think the majority of the hunters out there feel the same way

I'm a bit different. I hunt for bulls and bucks for a bit more challenge and because they have more meat than females or young males. Antlers are left on the ground for those who want them.

It's all hunting no matter what the motive is. I remember when I was young I wanted big racks but I could never say it out loud or dad would knock me out. Over the years I got more and more like my dad and racks lost all value for me. I figure my dad is looking down on me now and smiling.

Cool story bro...

Nothing wrong with that. What's wrong with me not taking them? I don't hunt for them. I hunt for the joy of the hunt and the meat. What's wrong with that? It hardly makes me a legend. It's just the way I do it. I have no bias towards trophy hunters. We're all free to hunt the way we like.

If it was a general bull tag for Utah "yes" but if a LE "no" unless hunting one of the bottom couple of LE units in Utah.

Yeah, very dependent on unit and state. Most places I hunt I’m sending an arrow at that bull so yeah I’d go back looking
