Today ?

Washington was a couple days early compared to last year. I’m hoping Oregon is the same which would make it mid week.

The nr quota is dropped for the premium hunts because there is only 1 tag. Everybody in the same pile.
You can check your random number against the seed number and see if you have a chance.

Where do you find that ? Thanks for your reply

random number is labeled as application number in your controlled hunt section of your account

Well if that’s the case doesn’t appear I drew since my application number for sheep was 0007- - - and my mtn goat was 6- - - - - -

My sheep is 9820000 + my premium buck is 9490000 + , but there is thousands more higher than me probably

I'm 180k above sheep and have no chance.
If you have points and they have enough tags to fill your entire pool, the random number won't matter but if they only fill part of your pool, the secondary sort is by random number. For the 25% random side and premium hunts, they sort only by random number. They go UP from the seed then loop back around to 0 and continue up to 1 less than the seed.

this is a good explanation:

Great explanation of a unique draw system. I just checked my numbers and I am 500,000 above the goat. Close but no cigar.

Depends on how many people applied.
For some place like Wenaha or Mt. Emily, probably not in the running.

Only 4 or 5 sheep hunts are available to non residents. If a NR draws a tag in that unit any remaining tags are available to residents only. NR apply every year for hunts that have no tags for non-residents

Are the seed numbers for sheep for resident and nonresident the same ?

Yes. Seed numbers are the same. If there is one NR tag, as soon as a NR draws that tag, the rest of the NR applications are worthless.....any further tags could only go to RES applicants
