Head butting a Game Warden. SMDH.

Be nice if the felony charge stuck. Loss of right to possess firearms would be a good consequence for him.

I've heard the G&F Officer is a hot head. I've also heard the G&F Officer was the first person to make physical contact. I bet he didn't put that in his report that he wrote up the next day. Looks like he's trying to hide behind his badge. Luckily I've never run into this G&F Officer, but will be on guard when I do.

Same logic as Antifa. Do you support their riots against government too?

If that is the case wouldn't the initial response by the outfitter be he got physical and not that it was a mutual head but?

I have had contact with this game warden many times in the field during the course of hunting seasons. He´s a really decent guy: fair, honest and helpful. (thanks for spreading rumors, Roadless)

It´s too bad the state attorney general can´t step in and handle the case. A strong message needs to be sent that assaulting a Game Warden is something that cannot be tolerated!

The guy must of gotten lessons from BLM or that antifa or what ever you call them terrorist

Ok what happened to innocent till proven guilty. I’ve never seen a mean pit bull but would never own one due to the stereotype. There were three witnesses that didn’t witness a headbut? I back the badge all the time but let this play out his blood alcohol content was almost half of what Nevada calls impaired. Let justice ring not cancel culture.

Not sure what to believe in this story, but blood alcohol content was .048, so I wouldn't say the guy was "drunk." At that level he probably had only one beer.

HAHA. So the outfitters statement said it was a mutual headbutt. That his head went one direction and the officer went another... So despite no one seeing the headbutt it is obvious that it did occur. Now the question is do you believe that the officer agreed and participated in a mutual headbutt or was it something else???

Talked to some close people to him today everything will be good for u and it'll all work out not as bad as people like to make it. Go hunt, good luck! Keep us posted on how the hunt goes

If the GW was assaulted which is a felony offense, why didn't the officer arrest the subject at time of offense? And did the said officer have/request back-up, or is this even a possible scenario afield?

I have completely different questions. Why would the guide not want to press charges against the trespassers? Also, Is it fish and games job to post the property? Not much of this makes sense.

I had the pleasure of meeting the game warden involved in this on my unit 36 moose hunt in 2016. I had contact with him on several issues and can say that he is a stand up professional in every way. Not to mention just a regular nice guy. He went way beyond the call of duty to help me have a successful hunt. I know which story I believe.

I had the same experience with him last year when I had my moose tag there. Seemed like a way good guy. Off subject but how did your hunt go?

Weird story but .048 is legal to drive in Utah which has the lowest blood alcohol level in the country to drive so I doubt the guy was drunk. Also why didn’t he want to press charges against the trespassers and why is it F&G’s responsibility to post private property?????

Wy game and fish won't write a trespassing ticket!
I found a dead buck on the winter range and nick came out to investigate he was awesome to deal with i got to keep the head!
Another time my lil brother made a slightly bad shot with a stick on a buck that ended up on private property. So we made the call to nick he once again came out and helped us out with the situation. The guy has always been cool with us!

Game wardens can and do issue citations for trespassing all the time. They follow the Commission rules normally where it is spelled out very clearly and they can and do enforce the trespassing violations. Don’t listen to people who don’t know Wyoming rules, statutes and Laws. Don’t trespass in Wyoming or you’ll face the consequences. Corner hopping is not a Commision rule violation but blatant trespassing is certainly ILLEGAL in Wyoming. http://digitaleditions.walsworthpri...307770&article_id=2502081&view=articleBrowser

I spoke with a game warden in Wyoming about trespassing. I was on a road that crossed private property before accessing public ground. There were lots of people back there hunting and he was checking licenses. When I asked him about the section of private at the start of the road he said he could not confirm or deny our access. He said he would have to issue everyone back there trespassing citations if the land owner called and complained. Game wardens can issue trespassing citations.

while we were out there the guide received a call from his attorney, all charges have been dropped. He's considering a defamation lawsuit but will probably just move on.

We ended up hunting with Dustin a few days and my dad ended up missing a great buck that I guessed between 175-180. We had a great hunt and saw a handful of real nice bucks would definitely go back again. Glad your hunt went well
