I have a Swarovski STS 20-60x S
It’s an older model I bought in May 2004.
I want to change the eye cup and called Swarovski tech and they said it should twist out counterclockwise.
When I turn it counterclockwise it turns the eye relief out and then comes to a sudden stop. No matter how hard I try to turn it further counterclockwise it will not move. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks

Seems like all my swaro optics I've had have twisted off just as the two explained. They're threaded on the very bottom. Did you buy new? Just wondering if someone could have put something like loctite on it? They usually come off fairly easy.

Is there a little black button near the base of the eyepiece that you need to press before turning the eyepiece

Yes I bought it new in 2004 and have never had it off before. The rubber armoring is broken and falling off and Swarovski said they would send me a new eye cup under warranty.
Have to rotate and I really our counter clockwiseafter rotating I relieve out counterclockwise it comes to a hard stop. I’m not the strongest guy in the world but I give it all I have and it just will not budge past that. It feels like there is a set screw or something in there holding it.

Thank you guys for all your suggestions. I got in touch with David at Sworovski and he told me to go ahead and twist it out of there. He said if it breaks they will fix it for no charge.

I've Got some Big Channellocks You can Borrow!:D
Thanks elk
If I can’t get it out by hand I’ll stop by your shop.
We may need to put it in your big Vise and use your extra large pipe wrench if those big channel locks won’t do it!
