JT is a bad ass and probably one of the best the CPW has to offer. Only person I have ever worked with that is as good as JT was Perry Will. JT truly is a great advocate for hunters and a no BS straight down the line type of guy. He is strong and a leader etc. Having worked with Hampton he was an alright guy, but well, for lack of a better term, the guy was a bit of a spineless Karen? Hard to explain, but he was never strong, never a willing to man up or make any ruffles. He seemed like the kind of guy who wanted to fit into the cool kids club and but neve willing to do what it took.
As for JT and the allegations. I have not seen the official reports, only the hack BS reporting shown here. No one really knows yet what he did, yet... But my guess is he worked with a certain Anti Wolf group and off record likely gave them some support.
Colorado has a stupid law that prevents anyone on the CPW from giving any opinions. They are not allowed to state if they are in favor or against any ballot measure. They can only officially answer with facts and data. This is a major problem and as other have mentioned has allowed the Bear Hunting Bans, and Trapping Bans to pass despite the CPW being against the ballot issues. They are not allowed to say that...
When it boils down to the results. The CPW made a great move in keeping JT. Is is really on another level in most ways... If I had a choice between having 5 guys like Hampton or 1 JT, I would take 1.
Please note this is all personal opinion. Hampton is not a bad guy...
