Trying to figure out if this is a legit company or a scam. Anyone ever used this website:

A search for reviews on the company reveals this:

I was suspicious because I have never heard of them before, and because they have “in stock” ammunition I can’t find anywhere else. Also when I asked how late they were open the answer I got was “hard to say”.

So I will assume that his is a scam (a pretty slick and elaborate one) unless someone can steer me different.

This one is using the same address & contact.

Thanks outdoor. I have been chatting with them cause I have some extra time today and they are pretty slick but it’s pretty obvious they are bogus. He even said the link you sent me were the scammers trying to copy them. But when I asked why the “scammers” have the same phone number as you……he quit replying. ?

I have read on other firearm forums of these scam web sites that will take your money and run and later come back as another ammo site to do it again. I believe the above web site was one of them mentioned as being bogus.
Stick with known on line companies to avoid being taken to the cleaners.
RELH

There are several of these fake companies out there now. No 300 win mag ammo anywhere yet some of these fake stores have cases for less than $2 per round. Lol

Actually, buying goods & services with PayPal thru the normal method is the same as using your CC. You can even get PP's protection dealie. A type of money transfer is possible only with a debit card or electronic check, however.

I forgot to mention PP in that as well. As you say, that is very mainstream now and offers protection. This “company” doesn’t offer that either. Money apps only.

If an online company doesn’t offer V/MC or PP, I will not do business with them. If it’s a legit business they would not want to lose my business that way, so I would make the assumption they are a scam. But as stated in my original post there are already too many red flags.

They even forgot to delete “cosmos Ammo” in their current website. It is still there

I was playing with him yesterday and asked why they didn’t offer visa/MasterCard. He said they were not set up for that yet. Told him that ruled me out and he then said:

“Well, we will accept Visa since this is your first order”

LOL.

Sorry for the confusion. Reason I made the comment about PP was because I had been reading older threads elsewhere that said they did take PP but not CC outright. That's exactly what I do when selling stuff because I cannot process cards other than thru PP. So that has probably changed, as you outlined.

I saw that too but evidently they were only taking F&F with PP. No legitimate business does that. Don’t see that option on their website now.

One guy sent them over $400 with PP F&F??? Live and learn

See you & raise; a little while back, I got $3,500 via F&F. ;)

I've been using PapPal since 2003 when I started financing my hunt to Africa by selling some hunting & fishing gear, mostly on Ebay. I also use both to buy stuff on regular basis.

PP & eBay recently made a changes where the only thing you can pay for stuff is the CC on file with them. On PP you can no longer pay with accumulated funds in your account.

I've also been in selling mode lately, getting rid of ALL my hunting & fishing gear. I just moved $5K from PP to my checking account.

I think starting next year you will receive a tax form 1099 once you move $600+ through your PP account. So be aware of paying taxes for your sales next year. Right now they aren’t required to send out a 1099 form until you reach $20,000 but it all changes next year. Just another thing they added to stimulus bill. Had to pay for it somehow.

Hmm, I hadn't heard about that yet.

Is there somewhere I can read about it??

Thanks. I just read it and also a few other articles about it. There's apparently some leeway on what is taxable or not. It appears used stuff is not taxable unless there's a profit over the original cost.
