Well at least I feel like these are some of the better bucks I've seen while scouting the past few year. I wished Utah wasn't such a crappy place to hunt and all I can find is a bunch of "pisscutters". Maybe I should just give up if this is all I can find while up on the hill. Now that last comment was a tongue in check of course and for Bess to enjoy. I'm not sure what happened to my video footage at the end with the glitches but they're still good bucks to look at. Several of these bucks ended up getting taken during the hunts.

Thoughts?

Some stud bucks you’ve found! I know how few and far between they are. I’m impressed.

And therein lies the argument...........

I’ve never heard elkassasin ever say there where no large antlered mature mule deer left. In Utah or else where. There certainly are. It’s the ratios by way of those vs the none large mature bucks AND the difference in total numbers of large mature bucks today as opposed to the numbers there could be and should be (depending on your opinion of what a healthy sustainable herd represents).

Regardless...... thanks for sharing your images ridge. Mature deer mule deer bucks are spectacular to see, my favorite of all the wild ungulates.

We must be reading completely different posts from elkassasin because I've read multiple posts about how there are no big deer and that Utah will be begging for a spike hunt once all the two points are killed.

Agreed. If there were lots of big bucks around they wouldn’t be so special.

Lot of nice bucks, I could do video like that for Montana, Just don't blink when watching or you are going to miss it.

Ridge I recognize a lot of those bucks. most of us will never have a chance to hunt those units, and a lot of those bucks are dead. Nice video, but LE is basically once in a lifetime. If they were bucks we could all get after then I'd tip my hat. General unit vs LE is apples to oranges.

I don't want to get this thread derailed, so please lets not get into a back and forth on here.
I know it's fun to try and discredit people when they are successful but I can assure you that those bucks are general season bucks, unless they migrated onto a LE. lol
Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss it more privately.
Without giving away locations.
Many bucks may summer on private and move onto public during the rifle hunts or may summer on public and move onto private during the rifle hunts or summer near private or LE and move to a safer place when pressured.
Many big bucks are available to hunt if you can time things right.

Anyways, I posted this for people who like seeing big muleys, not to try and defend the validity of my videos.

Real nice Utah’s public land looks like Nevada’s private lands. Some great deer in that. All from one year? If so damn that’s like my 22 years combined of hunting although I’ve seen 4-5 real big ones.
