Washington general season elk, deer and bear

I lease the hunting rights to a few thousand acres of private timberland in western Washington, met some great guys off here last year and figured I would throw it up here again. The unit is otc for elk deer and bear, elk has 3 seasons all 3 point or better, archery rifle and late muzzleloader. The rifle elk season obviously has the most interest as of now but it's still early in the application season so I'm sure a couple guys will switch to archery or muzzleloader so not too conflict with other tags. Deer has 3 seasons as well archery, rifle and a late 4 day rifle. Bears are any weapon and season starts August 1st, I've only seen bears on the property when the berry crop is going strong which I would guess is early August to mid October but when they show up they're thick.

We can have a total of 14 elk hunters for the season, currently there is 10. This is not a guided hunt, you would be joining a club that shares the hunting rights for the year. The lease is right along the ocean and about 20 minutes from a town with motel and groceries you can camp on the lease but I recommend just staying at one of the motels in town it's much easier. You will get gate keys and can drive around the property lots of roads. Any other questions feel free to ask.

$2000 for elk
$1000 for deer
$1000 for bear
Or if your somewhat local you can do all 3 for 2500 also open to trading hunts let me know

How many acres total?

To answer a couple questions that have come up, 14 hunters is for the year spread over all the seasons. I prefer to keep it 6 or less to a season unless it's one group that's working together so people don't feel crowded. The archery season is normally great for guys that want to hear and chase bugles. The rifle season was good last year for guys who actually got out of their trucks and into the thick stuff only 1 of 4 guys didn't shoot a bull . Muzzleloader would be my second pick after archery the elk are pretty relaxed that time of year and spend allot of time feeding and unless they're standing in the middle of a clear cut getting under 100yards isn't real tough.

2022 dates

Elk
Archery Sept 10-22
Rifle Nov 5-16
Muzzleloader Nov 26 - Dec 15

Bear
Any weapon Aug 1 - Nov 15

Blacktail deer
Archery Sept 1- 23
Rifle Oct 15-Oct 31 & Nov 17-20

This actually sounds like a really good deal. If it didn’t conflict with my hunts I would be giving you a call.

It's a really good set up, specially for older guys or guys with kids who don't have the ability to put heavy loads of meat and gear on their backs and go for miles or sleep in the back country to have a good chance at an animal. I'm really surprised more guys aren't jumping on it to be honest maybe the OTC experience has burned guys to often in the past, but they're allot of elk on the property.

I would like to think I could do this next year. What are my options?

Lots of options that's the best part what do you want to hunt? Only seasons that over lap are archery deer and elk, the rifle elk season and the rifle deer second season are pretty close together enough you could do both on the same trip. If you're after a bear I would say your only option is late August early September when the berry crop it's ripe.

Archery or rifle, I would say pulling off a double in the archery would be tough at least if you want something better than a fork buck. That's a tough time to kill a blacktail, good bucks go nocturnal once they shed velvet usually. But the archery elk is tough to beat if you like bugling bulls. The rifle deer is best between 20th and 31st of October to catch the rut. Haven't got to see the latter Nov season yet for myself always have conflicting hunts but the dates are really good.

Still have openings for elk muzzleloader and archery seasons this year, price for elk is 1800 a guy right now and we gained an additional 1600 acres of land this year as well.

Archery Sept 10-22
Muzzleloader Nov 26-dec 15

Interested if you still have any rifle elk openings

Update the guys who have the lease to the south of me, have openings during the archery season if anyone is looking to hunt. They have 3100 acres and are wanting 1150 a guy, they're no other archery hunters at the moment looking for 3 total would take 4 but would have be one group

2 rifle spots available had a guy drop out with a family emergency 1800 a guy. First to respond will get it, I sent messages to guys in this thread who said they were interested first I'll update the thread once the spots are filled thanks. Scouted last weekend found these elk 3 bears and 10 deer, have nine cameras up on the property now will start a thread once the archery season starts.
