Now that Trump is nothing more than a powerless old fat lying orange loser rather than a old fat lying orange loser he's become entertaining. I can't wait to hear what stupid thing he says does next or what his next loss will be. is it's fun watching him swirl in the bowl .

Evil is in a person's mind and actions, I didn't say evil didn't exist I said you can't focus on evil as whatshisface suggested because it's like a memory there's no way to take it or control it unless you're Spock maybe. just do whatever is needed to stop the shooter from having the ability because you're never going to mind screw him out of his intentions.

Evil is merely the opposite of good. When someone does a selfless act of service to the benefit and betterment of another, I guess you can't blame good using your "logic".

So, what do you blame then? You can't blame the person, evil or good is dumb to assign credit, right?

These shootings happen in California, Texas, and New York so it's not as simple as gun control.

Iceland has 90,000 guns and they didn't have a murder with a firearm between 2007 and 2018... ELEVEN YEARS WITHOUT A SINGLE GUN MURDER. They didn't have a police shooting between 1944 and 2013. That's 69 consecutive years!

However, if you look into Iceland's gun control, it's very strict. Is their low gun violence rate due to successful gun control laws, or something else?

PS. Twenty years ago, Iceland had 90% of it's population self-identify as religious; today it's less than 50%. In the last poll on religion, not a single young person responded that Earth was created by God. Not one. So religion is not it either.

EDIT - I just checked, we have the highest rate of incarceration in the world, right above Rwanda, so that's not it.

More people are killed with bare hands and feet than all types of long guns combined. Until we address the issue if broken homes, and subsequent mental illness in this country, this stuff will only get worse. And the idiots in power will continue to bark up the wrong tree.

The teacher had propped the door open to go out to their car. The teacher witnessed the crash, saw the guy with the gun shoot at workers from a nearby funeral home and was the first person to call 911.

The first officer responding to the scene incorrectly identified the teacher in the parking lot as the shooter and initially drove in that direction, unknowingly driving past the actual shooter hiding behind a car.

Its called a job. I had one since I was 15 and had money to buy rifles, ammo, archery gear, hunting licenses, etc.

I heard he had a 70k truck also. So I am curious if that is true where did all that money come from? Inheritance? No , he didn't come from a family with money.
Also, why did Homeland security know about his internet threats and do nothing? They pick up on almost any threat through linguistic recognition. We learned that from Edward Snowden many years ago.
So did this suit the purposes of moving forward towards more loss of rights, and control over citizens ? I listen to lots of commentaries and some of this is a topic.

I do know a woman who never recovered from the shame and heartbreak that came after the procedure.

You know that's a good question, and I'll answer it even though you won't like it.

For starters, I don't belong to a fake organization that teaches people to hate other people because they don't believe in a fairytale. That tells people they should hate people different than them or that freedom of choice should be taken away because of something akin to Aesop's fables. They exist to make themselves feel better about themselves and to do so, they need someone to demean, someone to vilify, a common enemy they can feel superior to.

I also contribute money to 2 colleges to fund scholarships, one my Alma Mater, the other in the town I live in. Scholarships given to students I don't know that hopefully results in them having an opportunity that they may not otherwise would have.

I'm also helping to pay for college for 2 kids that aren't mine, for the same reason. They may not otherwise get the chance.

I'm also a sucker for helping local schools when they have specific needs not covered by the State.

I also invest time money, and effort into politicians that have empathy for people other than their rich mega-donors, who give not one chit about anything other than making another billion. Politicians that understand and want to help the very real struggles that a lot of people in this country experience. Which causes a loss of hope, depression, desperation, etc. that leads to all kinds of things, like school shootings, crime, drug and alcohol abuse, etc. I'm also keen on politicians that aren't willing to farm out work our middle class could do so that, once again, a billionaire can make another billion doing so. I'm also not keen on giant corporate mergers that many politicians allow, resulting in the American public that works for a living taking it on the chin. Once again, so a billionaire or three can make another billion at the expense of the 99.999999999% who aren't.

I also contribute time, effort, and money to lobby Congress for Workers Rights. You know, building a viable and vibrant middle class, lifting folks into that class that currently cant, often through no fault of their own. Things like affordable health care, living wages, better nutrition in schools, training, safety at work, equal pay for equal work. Give people hope that their hard work be rewarded so they can, at least, afford the basics. A single bedroom apartment, a used vehicle to drive, health care, healthy food to eat, and maybe even save enough to retire with enough to cover those things the last few years of their lives. Or maybe allow them to save enough to give their kids a better life or a better chance than they had. Or, even heaven forbid, a family vacation once a year.

We're the wealthiest nation on earth, but we can't figure out how to raise the boat for everyone.

That's what I do, what I consider the minimum, and wish I had the time and resources to do more, but I don't.

I'm not doing chit about gun control, nothing to do about it.

America is a gun culture, to the point of infatuation. We just have to accept that schools, churches, and concerts are going to get shot up and people die.

I'm cool with that, statistically I'm at very little risk, I don't go to church, I'm no longer a student, and I hate concerts.

A woman, on welfare or a woman eating from a gold spoon, makes a choice.

I’m pro choice, when it come to a woman’s right to invite/allow a male to impregnate her. That’s her choice and she was and always must be free to make it.

The dirty little secret is: There are no second choices, from there forward she only has responsibilities..,,, for the choice she made.

See, it’s the same, for all choices…. all humans make. Once you make the choice, you own the consequences.

There is a misguided believe that you can undo your first choice…….. you can’t. That not only applies to the free choice to have sex or jump from a cliff.

One choice, that’s it.

Pretending there are Infinite choices does not make it a fact. There aren’t, only actions and reactions….. based on the first choice.

There in lies our 2023 century misconception and we’re all feeling the consequences of thinking we can, just because we want to.

It’s no different than leaping of the cliff believing you or I are not going to hit the ground. Believing we won’t, doesn’t stop reality from visiting our sorry butt when we hit the ground.

Presently…… we’re on our way down, screaming, “we’re not falling”. My recommend is, brace yourself.

Got it. 20 post or so ago me not doing anything about “it” made me insane. Now you not doing anything about it maintains your moral superiority.

My state makes that "fetus" a minimum the financial responsibility of the sperm owner.

Why doesn't yours?

Right, and when the sperm donor doesn't pay they throw him in jail, if he isn't there already.

But that's a great thing if you're a for profit prison...

Caring about Johnie means sucking his brain out?

We spent 7 years, multiple surgeries, and $50,000 cash upfront, no insurance and no guarantee to hear a heartbeat.

If your so dense, you don' t understand what that heartbeat means, I have videos of an egg being fertilized by a sperm. When you go the route we did you no longer get to pretend, you watch egg, and sperm, become a heartbeat, then a 16 yr old.

I applaud what you do for your nephews/nieces. It's a wonderful thing. Every kid should be so blessed.

The Uvalde kids dad abandoned him. Chose a girlfriend over him. At an age where a boy is full of cum and dumb, he was abandoned. Combine that with mental illness and the result is what it is

Daniel Defense and S&W did nothing wrong. Banning them won't accomplish a damn thing.

I have an idea, if you don't want to have an abortion, good, don't have one and mind your own business.

It's what you pretend to want, freedom and nobody else telling you what to do. Nobody telling you how many kids to have, what car to drive, what kind of weapons you can own, what church to go to, but then you want to tell others what they should and shouldn't be allowed to do.

Freedoms are a one-way street with you.
