Last year cards were hit on the 19th and results posted on portal the 20th. Will they be posting official results tomorrow?

I can't wait to see if I drew my dream hunt in the random draw on my first choice or drew in the bonus on my second choice.

Cards were hit well before that. Hits started March 2nd. Results posted March 8th. It's usually about a week after hits start for results to post.

It was the year before that that they royal F'ed up the draw and had two card update deadlines and then took like a month to process the draw.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but pretty sure if you have enough points to guarantee a tag in the bonus pass which is done first, you won't even be put in the random draw?

Correct. He's just right on the border of bonus pass with 18 points going for 27. So possibility he didn't get a bonus pass tag. However odds of a 27 tag are astronomically higher than a 23n tag.

Yes. I understand that the bonus pass is first. However, over the last three years it has taken a minimum of 17 points for NR to draw 27 Archery. Hard to imagine that there wasn't point creep this year, especially with the on-line hunter ed point option factored in for this year.

I know 23N is a long shot with only 18 points and only one tag. I'm guessing that I snuck in with 18 points for a unit 27 tag. But I can still hope for the miracle and a 23N tag ?

Just checked my online CC account and there was a charge for Parks and Wildlife!! Oh wait, AZ is Game and Fish. And the charge was only $125. And it was for the Colorado points I bought yesterday...

Oh well, a brief moment of excitement. Didn't expect anything as I only had 9 points, applying for archery, 1 and 8.

Well I kinda suspected this and sure enough $650 on the card.

2nd NR archery tag in Az, I went in with 10 picked 10 at my 1st and 6A as my 2nd. Figure I drew 6A but I’d be speechless it it’s 10.
Roomer, I did the exact same thing and I assume I drew the 6A archery tag.

I switched my focus to Unit 1 early archery with 21 points this year and haven't seen a CC hit. I got tired of chasing 3C but looks like the same results. A day late and a $ short I guess.... I wonder how bad point creep was this year with the great moisture and later dates?

Congratulations. Those were my exact choices last year, and I got lucky and pulled a 23n tag.

I’m guessing you might have drawn the 27 tag in the bonus pass

Obviously really bad. That’s 2+ points of creep. Probably 3. Insane.

Looks like 28 elk points for me now.

Congratulations to those that drew! Should be some Giants killed this year!
Do you mind me asking for which hunts you put in for? You can private message me if you want as we are both in a small pool for NR residents with our points.

Did they have the Pronghorn draw today too? Everyone is talking about elk. Or is that still yet to be done.

I had 20 points and those we my choices too. Didn’t draw. Uggh. Can’t catch it. Every year it creeps 1+.
Just how I felt last year. Was in with 21pts this year. I was going to wait but got sick of the point creep! Very happy with what ever unit I got drawn in. I will be a resident for 9/1/23 thru 10/1/23.

I did the same and got pulled. not sure but I could guess unit 1. Also had 21 points.

Nothing again for a friend and I. Really not expecting anything because our choices were Hail Marys. Start the year off slow and finish with a bang. Anyways, saving my luck for the better draws coming up. ??

So it sounds like 21 points for unit 1 NR archery got into partial odds in the bonus pass. Some guys drew and some didn’t with 21. 20 was a no go. Last year 19 was partial (30-40% ish) so we’re looking at 2 solid points of creep. Sucks.

That is what it looks like for unit 1. Several of us with 20pts was a no go and it looks like some with 21 got it and some didn't so I think your analysis is correct.

I assumed going into this years draw that the recent on-line hunter education point option would create a 1 - 2 point creep in all of the higher demand units.

How long does it take for AZ game and Fish to update the portal? I am anxious to confirm which tag I drew.

My dad was in with 18 points and a lifetime license for 10 early archery. Should have been more than enough to guarantee the tag but no card hit yet. Were there changes made to the lifetime license getting resident draw odds?

I don’t think this has changed. He shouldn’t be subject to NR cap

Page 10 of the regs................

Last year it took 13 points minimum for a resident to draw the early archery tag in unit 10.

Did he accidently put in for the rifle tag which took 22 points minimum last year?
