I’d go 338/06 all the way. I had a barrel made for my encore and it drives tacks. I’ve only shot it out to 300 but it’s my new go to. Im using 250 nosler partitions at one time they were on sale on their website but weren’t listed last time i looked so I’m hand loading once I’m out of that ammo

Might be a far reach for those i hand load the 150 gr ttsx in my 280ai and couldn’t find any for a hunt. I came across some federal 155 accent factory loads and tried them out. They were great with my custom dial i only shot out to 400 but I’m very pleased with them. It’s my round of choice...

I’ve got an older Remington 700 mountain rifle in 25/06 it drives tacks the barrel is 22 in though. Overall I’d buy it again
