We observed the same as you on the Wasatch and Manti this year. I am maybe a bit more optimistic about the bulls being able to bounce back in antler quality. We did see bulls each day but they were smaller than other years. Fingers crossed with some milder winters.

Thanks for the reply woodruff, Like you I prefer a longer 10 day hunt but I'm not sure that model is sustainable with the number of hunters seeking tags. Offering shorter hunts where you are limited to a 3, 4 or 5 day hunt may not be the answer either but it would allow more tag opportunities...

I've been able to hunt the Manti early hunt a couple of times guided by Lazy bar T Outfitters in Payson UT. Jeff found me bulls both times of the caliber you are looking for. The early hunts are great fun with the bugling bulls chasing cows.
