How do you value a trophy?

I recently returned from an overseas assignment and my household goods that were in storage had some items "lost". One of those items was a euro mount of my son's first buck. I have to claim the value of the lost item, and they don't pay anything for sentimental value. But how do you value...

Little help getting back stolen trophy???

$490 might not be a fortune to you, but it's quite a bit to some people. Thanks anyways. This is a last ditch effort anyways.

Little help getting back stolen trophy???

I'm not one to ask for help... yet here I am. I'm a former Utah resident who took a job in Italy (poor me). While here I had an opportunity to hunt medal class fallow bucks.....a dream animal of mine. So I saved and saved until I could afford the hunt and I took my 11 year old son with me. We...

    Importing Trophies Question

Going on Spain on a Beceite Ibex hunt pretty soon and started looking into the process to get trophies back to the states. Was wondering: 1) Do most people do this process themselves or hire someone to do it? If you hired a company, would like some recommendations. 2) Does the shipment have to...

Thanks for all the suggestions. I couldn't get into any stores for display, but did find a friends house who will store for me in their house.

Long Term Storing an elk mount

LAST EDITED ON Aug-15-17 AT 12:38PM (MST)[p]I don't really have the option of shipping it to me. I'm going to Norway for 2 years and we are not having our goods shipped. I can check with a sporting goods store. I dont have a good option for family member storage. If I build a shipping crate...

Long Term Storing an elk mount

Well, my overseas move is nearly here and I need to figure out how to store my elk mount. My moving company won't take it since I won't pay $3000 for them to build a crate and even if I build my own they won't take it due to insurance or some B.S. like that. So - it goes in storage in the...

    nether region rashes

+1 for the Glide. They make a small stick that is perfect for the backpack. I put it on every morning. Once it's used, I wouldn't share it with anyone else.

    Morgan-summit cow moose!

East Canyon would be a hard hunt for kids. Only hiking in and fairly steep country. I'd go to the top of Farmington and work the back side around Hardscrabble like you've mentioned. I've seen plenty of moose up there, had a few very close encounters as well. Should be a fun tag to have. Good luck!
