I recently returned from an overseas assignment and my household goods that were in storage had some items "lost". One of those items was a euro mount of my son's first buck.
I have to claim the value of the lost item, and they don't pay anything for sentimental value. But how do you value...

I'm not one to ask for help... yet here I am. I'm a former Utah resident who took a job in Italy (poor me). While here I had an opportunity to hunt medal class fallow bucks.....a dream animal of mine. So I saved and saved until I could afford the hunt and I took my 11 year old son with me.

Going on Spain on a Beceite Ibex hunt pretty soon and started looking into the process to get trophies back to the states. Was wondering:
1) Do most people do this process themselves or hire someone to do it? If you hired a company, would like some recommendations.

+1 for the Glide. They make a small stick that is perfect for the backpack. I put it on every morning. Once it's used, I wouldn't share it with anyone else.
East Canyon would be a hard hunt for kids. Only hiking in and fairly steep country. I'd go to the top of Farmington and work the back side around Hardscrabble like you've mentioned. I've seen plenty of moose up there, had a few very close encounters as well.
Should be a fun tag to have. Good luck!
