He's still the center of our nightmares...

LAST EDITED ON Oct-16-15 AT 06:05PM (MST)[p]>>You sir are one heck of >>an artist. I love your >>trout paintings. > > >+1....helluva bull, even better painting! Thank you everyone! And Sagebrush, I'd like to completely agree with you, but after 30-40 days of scouting, 12 days of hunting...

He's still the center of our nightmares...

I promised a few people on here last year that I would post the results of my brother's Nevada hunt after posting some of the bulls we were seeing, but I haven't visited the site much, so I never got around to posting it. So the results are? a big fat 0. It's still, and always will be, a sore...

2015 Archery Buck back from Taxi

That's insane. He had a hold-over hard antler while he was growing velvet? Was he injured or was it just stuck on there? Fine Art and Photography http://cbstewart.myshopify.com

    Armchair Score

LAST EDITED ON Oct-14-15 AT 05:04PM (MST)[p]>By the way, the artwork on >your website is pretty amazing. > You have some serious >talent. Haha, I've already thrown in my hat. I'm not going to pick a fight with the guys who are certified to do it. At least not more than the initial jab. I...

    Armchair Score

In my neck of the woods, nets are for fish :) But yes, I guess I will concede on that one. Sometimes the "ish" numbers with no reasoning turns me into a vigilante. Fine Art and Photography http://cbstewart.myshopify.com

    Armchair Score

I think the 170-175" range is pretty close. I never have any idea where some of these guys get their scores from. "160ish" is lowballing a buck like that like crazy. Here's my scores for the right side: G1: 1.5 G2: 15 G3: 9 G4: 11 Main: 22 Mass: 17 Multiply that by 2, subtract 2 for the...

Lowa Renegade vs. Lowa Camino boots - Help!

Thanks for the tips everyone. And thanks for the Scarpa tip, ill have to try them out somewhere down the road. I did end up trading in the Renegades for the Caminos and Im enjoying them so far. They are definitely a bit warmer than the Renegades, but comfort and fit is similar and they seem much...

    Guess his score

It is always interesting. I'd put him just over 200" gross all day, every day. But I don't ever look at Henry's or Strip bucks, so I think I know a 200" the second I see it because I hardly ever see it! By the way, good choice on turning that fuzzy buck into a real trophy ;) Fine Art and...

    170 Buck?

Yeah, he's right there. Gross score. Maybe a couple of inches over. As for shoot or pass, that's up to you. If you're looking for a 170 buck, there he is. If you're trying to find a 5 year old buck, that's not him. But some of us have to wait 3 years until the opportunity comes around...

Lowa Renegade vs. Lowa Camino boots - Help!

Has anyone here owned or tried both of these boots? (Lowa Renegade GTX and Lowa Camino GTX FreeFlex) I finally decided to step up my footwear game last year and decided on a pair of Lowa Renegade GTX boots. They are hands down the most comfortable boot I've ever put on my foot, but they have...

What do you think this bull would score?

GeorgeE, I'm fairly new to the bull judging game as well. Many of these guys have been helping me with their experience and tips, but if you'd like a more detailed break down of the 200 base system, there's an article on elk101's website that helps a lot. (I apologize if I'm not supposed to send...

    Wounded Bulls

LAST EDITED ON Aug-03-14 AT 03:48PM (MST)[p]I once shot a buck at about 380 yards (which is a hip shot for a lot of guys these days, but a long ways for me with my 3-9 scope). He dropped, got back up, stumbled around, then dropped again. He then proceeded to do the death kick and went limp. I...

    Colorblind blood tracking?

I'd second checking out the lights. I own a blacklight I bought from Lowes for finding scorpions, but it makes body fluids like dog pee glow like the dickens as well. I'm not sure how it works on blood but see the stupid whitetail guys use it on tv all the time. Only problems that come to mind...
