    G3- Crowded?

I hunted it in 2020 and my comment is yes, you will see a lot of people, but like you said most of the “crowd” will be on the roads and in certain glassing spots. You will see three groups of people on this hunt. Outfitters will be in the area and they will have their group of people helping...

    G3 Draw - Finally

Built Muscle - I hunted G3 in 2020 with my father and son, I'm sure you've gotten plenty of help but please let me know if you need any suggestions on places to look. I will message you my cell phone number. Terry

    So....who got a G3 tag??

Hi - I had the tag in 2020. You can find my posts in this G3 thread from last year. You do have a lot of options, and hopefully the weather cooperates for you and you get some cold and snow that will help with the deer movement. If you do go down and hunt G3 let me know, I'd be happy to give...

    Acceptable Hotel in Rawlins

I stay at the Best Western every year on my way to Colorado. It has food, bar and it’s a decent place to stay.

    M-8

Just to clarify - you can now turn tags back in. This is new to CA this year, you can surrender your tag and request preference points to be reinstated & get one point for this year. However, they are not doing refunds. It does look like they are considering refunds due to fires, but that's...

    La Panza Elk

Thanks for the suggestions. Due to his health my father decided he isn't up for the hunt this year and sent our letters back. Hopefully the tags can go to the alternates and put them to good use. Thanks again, Terry

    X6B going up in flames

My dad and I have tags this year and I guess we're lucky we can now turn tags back in and reinstate our points. I've been hunting it since I was 16 when you could get a tag almost every year. It's been five years now since the last tag and a number of places we've hunted and had planned on...

    La Panza Elk

No way, it's their land and if they are willing to allow access to take a few elk, the land owner should be able to charge what they feel is right. Now seeing what the ranches get for the PLM tags is a bit crazy, but there are plenty willing to pay the price.

    La Panza Elk

Your information comes with a cost? Ok, send me your address, if it works out I'll send you something. Obviously, access to private could and probably will come at a cost. WE get to decide if it is worth it to us to pay.

    La Panza Elk

Hi All - My father and I have been chasing elk tags in California for years. Unfortunately for us, we didn't quite understand the points game when California started and we missed out on that first year, putting us always one point behind max. We applied some years and others just banked...

    Fundraiser Draw

Snow chains for off road use on full sized diesel truck?

What do you guys wear for gloves? I've had a hell of a time keeping my hands from freezing the last couple years in Colorado. Putting on chains in below freezing temps, leather gloves never seem to keep my fingers warm enough and insulated gloves always seem to be to thick to get everything...

    G3 Zone 2020

Sitting here almost a week out from the hunt, raining and cold here in Colfax, thinking about being down there looking for bucks. I have been looking thru maps, scouting, and hunting since April and it feels strange to not have any more tags or hunts, April seems so long ago. I will think...
