there is lots of public land with plenty of quail, chukars, huns, etc. bust out some maps and do a little research and save yourself a bunch of money!!
First off, I'd like to thank everyone who responded to my previous post regarding the purchase of a new bag and what I should get.
I ended up purchasing Mont-Bell Down Hugger 800 #1, which is rated at a 15 degree bag. I was having a tough time justifying that kind of money, but I happen to...
thanks bigbull1. i went ahead and ordered the #1. seems like a great bag for the money. i found a new, long bag on ebay for quite a bit cheaper than anywhere else. excited to use it on my early buck hunt.
ya, i'm 6'1 240lbs. way wide across the shoulders. it'll be for packing in so the lighter the better. i've considered big agnes too. i like their designs with the sleeping pad sleeve. i've got a super nice big agnes q-core pad. best i've ever slept on.
so i'm thinking of getting the kuiu 15 degree back but i'm wanting to know about some other comparable bags, or better bags that may be cheaper. kind of hard for me to pull the trigger on a $600 bag, but they seem super nice and i like the water resistant down they have. if it really is the best...
i use the all lead 405's. we'll see how she does tomorrow. headed after some yelk. i hope to just get in range. i don't think i'll shoot over 125yds. just don't the gun out past that yet.
so i just got into this wonderful world of muzzleloading and i'm needing some help on a different sight system. i'm in idaho so open sights only. i've got a knight bighorn and i've been shooting 405gr powerbelts with 100gr of triple 7. this is about as good a group as i've gotten at 100yds...
so i'm thinking of getting a 24" varmint contour in 223 wylde. ive seen good and bad reviews. just curious if anyone here has any personal experience with them. any other suggestions on reasonable priced barrels in that configuration for under $250? thanks in advance.
first build so i don't...
i did. they are sending the musket nipples. they mentioned the firing pin too. i guess i could try and not thread the back safety out so much. didnt think of that. but just reading that it needs to be all the way out, that's what i did. i'm very green to this muzzleloading. lol. i like it though!!
