What are Mark's chances of being Governor?

You know things are bad in NM when the ABQ Journal endorses Ronchetti this weekend... Super happy to see that but doubt it will be enough to push him over the edge.

2022 big game draw odds summary is up...

I stopped hearing that about 8 years ago. Maybe %-wise it is flat (maybe), but popular culture has really embraced hunting. Meat Eater, Joe Rogan, survival shows, etc. talk about it and it's very accepted. No surprise more people are applying (and I'm getting fewer tags).

    Post up your draws

Drew last choice deer in a unit I like to backpack into and F-IM ibex, so I am super happy about getting some hike-a-hunts on this year. Kids didn't draw and I'm not sure their schedules will work for youth encouragement hunts this year. That sucks :(

Wonderful to see and congrats to him! What's the 10-2 theory, that you can really nail them during bedding time if you are patient enough to give them space?

Yeah, unit 17 is being treated nicely. I really hope it continues to stay moist through August and the grass grows tall.

Unit 17 Bull Elk late Oct

Absolutely - if you are in Magdalena then intel should be easy to get and you can probably see bulls from your house. Start finding the water tanks that have water and then learn the areas around them. 95% of the hunters you will be competing with won't want to climb more than 500' of elevation...

Up high in the canyons and/or by water. That's where I'll be on the same hunt.

DER-3-256 was 65% the prior year, so that's fairly close. DER-2-255 was 61%. Both are unit 24 but those figures are for residents.
