    Mule Deer- Soda Springs unit 75/76

    I hunted in in 2020 and it was absolutely crawling with road hunters. Get away from any roads and gain as much elevation as you can. We filled our tags, but the bucks were tucked into little cannons and holes and we dern sure had to work to get them out and back to the truck.

    Spot-on. I try to use a credit card with some sort of rewards (fuel discounts, sky miles, vehicle rentals, etc) to purchase licenses and preference points so I can try to get at least one scouting trip in before I hunt new country. That trip in is usually just as good for marking off "bad"...

    Wolf tag for the Lemhi Range?

    I'll be hunting the Lemhi Range with my wife in October for the general mule deer hunt? Do wolf numbers in the Lemhi Range justify picking up the tag, just in case?

    Unit 29 fire West of Leadore

    Spoke with the ranger station Friday and they said they're letting it do its thing. They backburned a perimeter and said it's contained for the most part. She did say it burned really lot in a few areas, but I'm betting it'll be a solid start for the archery guys next year.
