Lots of deer.. Not too many big deer were seen. Very cold. Most of the deer we saw were in what I call the middle area. The transition from the top and burn area but not all the way west in the flats. Still in the pines and oaks.

Invest in some good glass, it is really wide open. Depending on the weather find the water catchments that the are set up out there.

There is a lot of snow in there this year and it is going to be cold. There will be a lot of road hunters and a lot of people getting stuck.. it will be a tough hunt and yes some elk have already moved out of the pines but there is still some in there. Good Luck

Pray for early snow, The migration is really weather related. Like Mike said there are resident deer in there year around but if there is snow up top this hunt will be great John
