Does it seem like if they want to limit tags on public they should do the same for private land? Or will the stakeholders/private land owners not agree to this?
Grouse do a reverse migration they go higher later in the season, I do good in the old growth and new growth. Keep going higher until you find some and then focus on that elevation.
For LO tags, say a unit has 100 buck tags 3rd season allocated. Automatically 20% or 20 tags go to the LO vouchers. Then the remaining 80 tags are divide up say 80/20. You could assume that most vouchers are bought by non residents. So in reality non residents are still getting between 20% and...
Seeing how he is a youth. The tag is good also for the later seasons,see special youth regulations. I would wait and go in Dec when there is not as much pressure/better experience.
You also have to know that either the 20/80 or 35/65 is after the LO get their allocation up to 20%. You can assume that most LO tags go non residents in the high demand units.
CPW is asking folks to complete a survey about tag allocations and draw systems. Encourage everyone to make there voices heard and volunteer to be a panel/attended public meeting.
