Let's just have one set of "points" across all species and make it a random draw for what species/season you get! 47 points might get you a Henry's multi season buck tag or it might get you a Northern unit turkey tag. Roll the dice and see what happens!

The right taxidermist should be able to put that skull cap onto a replica euro and make it look pretty good. Or you could do the classic type of panel mount like Homer posted a link for. Assuming you have the cape for a shoulder mount, you could always sell it and likely make a bit of progress...

+1. Team Euro, all the way. But given that you skull capped him and are wanting a shoulder mount, find a taxi that would give you a head down, one side lower than the other as much as possible. Mimic the head swaying swing thing those swamp donkeys do

This right here embodies a lot of the problems with hunting attitudes/perspectives today. Seems like we used to teach folks that if a good, clean shot wasn't available you just accepted that the animal won that round. That's just a part of hunting. Why not just whiz a round into it's liver or...

How about just not shooting a bull "through the shoulder" ever? Slip it behind the shoulder and a bit lower and you'll put a hole in it's heart, even at +400 yards, making it die quickly with minimal meat loss. I have no idea why the last ~15 yrs or so it's gotten common to shoot game through...

.270 with 130gr copper is my favorite combo for pretty much everything from pronghorn to moose. It just plain works

Extras was a very close second, but excessive mass makes me blind to anything else. But it's gotta be dummy thicc to tip the scale that way. I'll take a small kicker over a few inches extra mass, but once it gets to be around 40" of mass game over.
