I would advise against a strikerfire by Traditions. The spring that pushes the firing pin forward gets gummed up through normal use and doesn't push the pin hard enough to ignite the primer. Sometimes simple = mo' better. . .. . What I meant to say is I have a stikerfire for sale - $275!

    Deer moving from opener storms?

Is there snow up there? If so, what elevation is the snow line? I love it when a good early snow pushes the deer around; it should make for some good hunting!

    The pains of success

Excellent story and I am glad everyone got out safe. Sometimes you have to stop and give yourself a sanity check. Looks like you made the best choices possible given the circumstances. Congrats on a successful hunt; I hope your dad is doing better.

    Idaho Pictures!

I haven't gone after deer or elk for myself this year but have helped my cousin bag his first buck and called in a cow elk for my buddy. In both hunts we made a textbook plan of attack on the animals and the plans worked out perfectly...

    43 info weather ?

Headed up tomorrow. Looks like there will be snow flurries and probably some snow on the Trinitys and Iron Mountain. We were there this time last year and got blasted off the mountain by a blizzard but it was 60 and sunny the next day. Weather up there this time of year is a real wildcard.

    SAVE WEISER ELK

I have seen quite a few bears around the West Mountain Trailhead in 32A. It is around the headwaters of Squaw Creek. Definitely buy a wolf tag. Go get em!
