I too think this is ruining the sport of hunting for the average hunter. Not very sporting or fair for the game either. Not sure what can be done.

Thanks for posting this. I think you folks in Utah are very lucky to have this kind of problem. You have lots of opportunity for quality hunts. I do think you pushed the ranchers a little too far and glad to see some give back on that southwest desert for a year or so. Good process you have. Bill

I hunted deer in Utah in 1960. If I remember we were allowed two deer,either sex. A large share of the hunter were from California,bumper to bumper. If there were any elk in Utah then it was very few if any.my hunting was south of Provo to Manti. The deer were like jack rabbits.

What next,drones and laser guided bullets? I think our technology has improved so much that it is no longer fair to the wildlife. Look at the cover that bull was in . A very difficult place to stalk ,hunt and kill an animal. That is why he was such a trophy however he could not hide himself...

I don't know much about the history of this, when , where etc. I'm not very close to a Cabelas and just recently, in the last few weeks started to look for one , but I wonder why that Cabelas and other outlets for Swarovski just didn't mark them down 30-40% themselves?? I don't think we are...
