Got it done this morning. Public land DIY. Not the true CO monster I hoped for after burning 14 pts, but he’ll do.

Packing a hog of a mt goat off the mountain in OR. Had no clue until we hit the trailhead early evening. On the 6 hr drive home, I can’t remember passing but a handful of rigs that whole drive.

Burning 14 deer pts this year, then looking to hunt CO more often. Will be burning elk pts in the next couple years. Anyone know if the new 80/20 split units are going to 75/25?

Haven’t hunted 30 but I took a hard look at it this year, talked to a bunch of people, lots of research, etc. Did a deep dive on 1/2 a dozen units. Decided to burn 14 NR points on a different unit this fall. I think 30 can provide the type of hunt you’ve described you are looking for.
