Appreciate the input. Just trying to find a possible unit which is tough but a man's gotta keep trying. I just don't want to wait for 20 or more points to have a good unit when I could use 6 and get an decent unit, but where that is...who knows. Anyone have thoughts on 65?

I'm looking into 4th season Colorado tags that I could draw. I'm a DIY public land hunter. Like everyone I hope to kill a monster but the realist goal would be 180". go Hunt says these units are better earlier in the year as many have migrated into private land by then. I'm looking at burning a decent amount of points for a 3rd season deer tag in unit 55 of Colorado. I've never hunted there & what I've read this unit it had lots of winter kill ~12 years ago so has it recovered? Also, how much pressure is there with all the OTC elk tags hunting at the same time...
