270 or 30/06 have killed more elk then probably any other calibers out there with Kmart ammo. Now days people think you need a big caliber gun with bullets that cost 100 dollars a box.

Should have no doe hunts at all for deer or antelope. I seen them destroy the Elk heard on 3 corners a few years back when they gave out like 500 cow tags. The elk are coming back in there now but they have not had cow hunts for like 10 years now.

Old school 3 inches high at a 100 yards and your good to 300 yards. After that get closer or go to collage and figure all the other stuff out but that's not for me.

The north slope unit should have cut another 2000 tags. The worst I've ever seen it and I've hunted it for 36 years. The diamond mountain unit also is way down this year.

Go hunt you'll find deer there. Its not that difficult of a area to see and figure out. Just have fun and hopefully you see some big elk

I had unit 70 3rd season last year it was a fun hunt and there was a ton of deer but not anything over 140.
