i hate to say it but that is public land, had a buddy that happened to this past weekend. also the buck i shot already had 4 does with him he was a 4.5-5.5 yo deer so i will say it depends on the unit.

what unit? some are worse than others.

i drew 10 tags straight before i changed the way i put in, now i draw every other year.

if they keep getting rain you will need 4x4, really depends on where you want to go in the unit. if you are scouting for a late hunt i would wait at least another 5-6 weeks, with the rut kicking off the bulls will not be where they are now in november.

get away from the people, i was in there last year and there is a ton of big bulls in here, you need to do you homework and you will have success, pm if you have any questions.
