I have never ventured into the frank in November, that being said i would be really cautious. It does not take much to make that area dangerous in the winter. as mentioned above your best bet would be flying into one of the air strips along the river in lower elevations. Just my 2 cents. good...

my understanding is that the late hunt is all weather dependent. but i dont think they are hunting as deep as we where because the deer move to there rutting grounds that time of year, where i live it does not matter if we get snow or not the bucks move to the does when its time to breed.

it looks like a pretty large area so i am not very concerned about traffic. Plus i am young an dumb enough to find those hard to reach spots most people wont go!!!

yeah, i think we are gonna go straight to cold lakes if we feel up to it when we hike in 2 days before season. Just want to get back in there a bit and cold lakes looks like a better starting point then hidden lakes.
