I’ve had great hunts in 22 and 23. My last buck was just short of 120”. I’ve hunted Mexico many times, but think the largest coues bucks in the world are in 22 and 23.

There are about a dozen cows and calfs and a spike using the pivots on the north side of SR229 in ruby valley. Saw them the morning of 7/26

I saw 40 head of cows and calf’s and 7 bulls on Saturday. East morning hunt if you can get permission from the land owner.

Pretty good late winter snow pack. Moisture isn’t typically a factor for deer antler growth in the Ruby’s. There’s alway plenty of quality feed for deer. I’d say moisture isn’t really a factor in Nevada north of HWY 50. Good luck

I must have misread or misunderstood your dates. Since your cow hunt starts August 1, I think with a little luck, you could kill a cow. I'll be happy to give you all the information I've got and places to go look.

My .02, I'd probably turn the cow tag back unless you've got lots of time. The early hunt can be easier, however I've taken cows on both hunts. I would guess that with all the tags given out for these hunts, only 5-10 cows are harvested each year and most are on the early hunt. The spike tag is...
