    Seeking Wyo points partner.

IMHO it sounds like a pretty good deal to me, if I was a bit younger I'd be sending a PM now. I mostly hunt solo but guessing this hunt would be a little tougher:) Will have 14 points going into this years draw.

Hunt Opportunity Giveaway - Southeast Idaho

    I want to hunt.

    Results are up

If you are successful in drawing a tag you have to go buy it, Oregon doesn't mail out the actual tags, at least not for residents not sure for non-res??

    Colville, WA Hunting?

My ex-wife has a lot of family in Colville, her aunt and uncle own a bunch of ground in the valley and what they didn't own I used to have access to if I told them about her uncle George. Some big whitetails up there north and west of Colville or at least there used to be when I was still part...

    The draw

Yup 7/1 to 11/30 for point saver, didn't know you could actually do that until I read it in the regs a few days ago. Learned something new, also in the 2023 regs it says results will be posted on June 12th so a bit earlier this year. Good luck to all on your draws.

Mt. Emily Buck Hunt - 154C

Do you know the unit at all?? I wish you luck since you likely burned 20 preference points to draw that tag unless you got lucky in the random. Its a tough hunt if you don't have much experience in the unit. The rut should be going pretty strong about now and there is some snow up top. I...

    Nothing wrong with a 700 based 7MM-08 (y)

    Possibly building a rifle

Seems like based on what you want why not go 7MM-08?? IMHO would be hard to not like for anything deer/antelope and up to elk at a reasonable distance which you said would never exceed 400 yards. I've done a bunch including 4-5 on 700 actions, all turned out great. Current favorites are...

    Controlled Hunt Results

Think that is one of the toughest if not the toughest deer tags to draw. Still some big deer in there but the weather can make it a tough hunt. If you have been in the unit you should know you can find deer all over just not lots of them ;)

    Controlled Hunt Results

Yup, they are now posted. Drew a bull elk tag over east in my favorite unit and a 2nd choice mule deer tag so overall pretty happy. Good luck to everyone!!

    Any feedback on meat processor

I've had friends use Bighorn in the past. They do a good job but are expensive. There is also a small shop in Kaycee - Siesta Meats that can help you out if that is near your hunt. Mitch that runs it does a nice job and is cheaper.

Astoria Fishing In Late July, Early August?

I don't know if he still has any open seats on his boat but I would try to get ahold of the guide that goes by Big Game Fishing - he also owns the bait shop at the Hammond boat basin. He is probably the best guide on the river. Buoy 10 does open on August 1st and can be good but the ocean will...
