Yeah those are click beetles. Most don't glow but some species in Latin America do. I've some that glow in northern Argentina and also Florida has a couple species that glow.
nfh that is a giant water bug. It can give you a painful bite but is not dangerous. They're usually found near water but are attracted to lights - yeah they can fly. In the SE US and in SE Asia there are species 2-3 inches long. Also in SE Asia they are eaten by humans.
Daxter is right - get the lifetime license. I didn't buy one before I moved and for the past 30 years I kick myself in the ass every year at about this time. Is it not valid if you know you're relocating?
Both posts above said it all. I've taken 3 goats with a .308 all one shot, chest, from about 40 to 75 yards. None were very difficult packouts but I was selective and shot them where they couldn't fall or slide far. Easier said than done, as LBH said. Good luck!
I had this tag last year. My then 7 year old son and I really enjoyed it. Let me get my thoughts together and get back to you in a week or so. Don't hesitate to remind me. Congrats - fun hunt.
