What hunt did you draw? I'm going on the January archery hunt there. A buddy has a ranch in unit 37 and it is just loaded with deer. John

My buddy and I drew 21 2nd this year. Each of us burned 10 points. Hope it's a good hunt. Will make a Sept scouting trip, then go up 3 days before opener and plan to stay the entire hunt. John

I too drew unit 76 archery this year. Maybe see you there. When are you hunting. 3 of us will be there the last 10 days. Two of us have hunted 76 archery before, and a rifle cow, and mule deer hunt. The elk in September will be high, 10,000 to 11,500 ft. Lots of burn areas too, be glassing them...

Have hunted 16B many times. Unfortunately if you are several miles in there is no cell service. You have 2 days in hot weather before your elk spoils. When I have hunted 16B we had horses with us and coolers full of block ice at the truck. Shot a bull at dark and didn't recover him till...
