    elk question

The mid season hunts would sure look a lot more attractive if they didn’t overlap with the thousands of spike hunters out on the mountain at the same time.

    elk question

Mt Dutton might be a possibility as well. Lots of options that may work. My wife has 23 points. Hoping to get her on a bull next year.

    elk question

Tough to know for sure what the draw odds may be with the more restrictive changes in the muzzleloader regs…. but I was looking at the Manti, SE Desert, or San Juan muzzy hunts. Probably could add the Beaver, Nebo, and Panguitch to the list if I go mid season.

    elk question

I’m sitting on 24 non res points and am in the same boat. Thinking of cashing them in this year if possible. I’m far more interested in the experience than inches however. Looking at one of the mid season hunts or possibly a muzzy hunt. Getting close to decision time.

    Colorado units 30, 40 and 70

I hunted daylight to dark for four days. Hiked and glassed a ton of area. Saw a total of 22 deer…… only two bucks. Shot one of them on day four. Decent but not huge. The weather was nice but the deer were hard to find for me. Good luck if you go.

Utah Muzzy hunt optics changes for 2024 Poll

My vote would be to keep it as a primitive weapon……. no scopes, no red dot, no pelletized powder, no 209 primers, and no sabots.

    24 draw

Thinking I will put in my 24 NR points in one of the unit 61 elk hunts. Should be getting close to drawing.
