That looks similar to the old WW2 military ammo, full metal jacket in 30/06 shot plenty was easy to get at surplus stores years ago.

As with anything in CA, if you can afford to pay to get on Private you will have a much better experience and chance at game.

My PSE is light weight but you do now even need a stablizer to shoot it, no vibration at all….

We shoot 56# draw weight, total arrow weight 566gr. FMJ340 , G5 Striker 100gr. Total pass through on Bulls at 40yds.

We shoot FMJ340 566gr. Total arrow weight heads are G5 Striker 100gr total pass on bull elk at 40yds….shoot same as field points past 70yds.

If your so wants save money go to a bow shop and get measured and know what his setup needs to be. Then he can shop for a pre-owned bow that fits him. He can get a high quality bow that is say around 5 years old save a bunch and have a high end setup. He will find a lower end bow will not make...
