Why do archery guys still get an OTC area that doesent burn points? I don't have a problem merging the 3 systems, but finding a fair way to do it seems pretty hard. Just hunters continuing to fight with hunters over the same set of tags.

No unit in colorado is worth the points it takes to draw if you have been playing the game for awhile, but the points required to draw is still relative to the perceived quality of the hunt. Where else are you going to go with your points? The market says 8 points gets you a shot at 140-160...

SJ is better hands down. Vernon has 35 landowner vouchers this year. A large chunk of those 35 tags go to guided hunters or hunters with a posse. A ton of competetion and hunters concentrated for the handful of 170 plus bucks every year.

Mostly people are looking to cash out and get out of the system. The current late season structure, lots of tags, and no apparent desire to change that from CPW going forward are not going to make anything better with the next 5 year plan. Its just going to get worse so many are just cashing...

Trying to follow you here. So you are saying if we dont let the lifetime tag holders mentor their tags to youth, it will make non lifetime hunters more ok with the fact that lifetime tag holders have lifetime tags? All it would do is penalize youth for the sake of maybe making a lifetime hater...

Tags went fast this year, especially elk. System started out slow but was way better than last year. Number 15000 in line was still good enough for a mediocre deer tag. Getting harder to get any tag these days.
