10x42 SLC vs 10x50 EL
What are you using them for? If you want to go with a 50mm objective, I would suggest getting the 12x50's. The edge clarity in the EL's is a bit better, but probably not worth the $500 jump over the SLC's. I have 8.5x42 EL's, had the 10x42 EL's and like the greater FOV of the 8.5's. Also have... -

Have you ever shot an animal that had a previous wound?
I have shot a couple whitetails with .22 shells under the skin. I guess the poachers thought they could kill one with a rimfire, or just stupid people shooting at whatever they saw,- Wheels2

Closest shot you have ever missed
10 yards on deer and 25 yards on elk, both arrow deflections. Got in a hurry and didn’t wait for a clear shot. Looking back, they weren’t going to get away had I waited…- Wheels2
