For managing hunters: I would add some late season archery in A and D zones, only available to AO tag holders. Or it could be a limited hunt. There’s bucks dying of old age, would be a fun opportunity and not hurt the deer herd. For managing deer: No clue honestly. CA hardly publishes anything...

Being effective in the field at 600 yards is going to take some practice and some different gear particularly scope. It’s not as easy as it looks on YouTube; it’s not just twisting a dial. More recoil=harder to shoot accurately, this is a fact..muzzle break masks the recoil but does not change...

I am very glad it’s not my job to manage hunters. We will never, all be happy…a guy could be the only person in the whole unit filled with nice bucks, and he will complain about the weather..

You split up into multiple season I doubt it will feel any less crowded. It will also be more pressure on the deer. Guys and their posse will be hitting it hard every single day of their 5 day season. Few if any are doing that for the entire general season as it stands. You want less crowds...

All it takes is a few days on any of these units and a guy will wonder why he took up deer hunting in the first place. I am not too worried about it they sell something like 10,000 tags in my home unit. The more the merrier I guess.
