I'd go with the 10 point crossbow brand with the accu draw. I've owned a few cheaper brands and have had parts break. Going on 4 years with my 10 points and never had an issue.

I have the mid season tag and no intentions of turning it in. I don't have any monster elk on my radar, but I've been into plenty of elk every time I've been out. Hopefully that hold true for another week!

Would love to see wasatch bulls taken in the last few years to get me even more excited for my hunt coming up next weekend! If you have any let's see them. Not too caught up in the whole score thing but if you want to post it, it may help for reference. I'm definitely no expert in field judging...

I use a red dot scope that has the 4 different dots in it. Works well for me. 10 point crossbow does make a pin sight. Not sure if it would work on different brand of bow.

Are there any packing services that anyone has used to pack out elk on the wasatch. Will be hunting during the new mid season and will have help for the first half of the hunt, but may be hunting solo the last few days if necessary. Thanks!

Looks like luck (or having lots of points) was on my side! Now for the real question. Would you hunt the north or south end of the unit? Far more familiar the north end of the unit, but know the cow tags put a dent in the herd up there. Can't wait to get out there and see what I can find!

Hopefully 12 points wasn't too many to burn if I do draw. It's going to be a long 2.5 months waiting to find out if I'll finally get my turn to chase elk on the wasatch.

Thanks for the input. I went ahead and put in with what I would think is enough to draw. Hopefully I won't regret it! My thought process is most the spike hunters head home after the first weekend and then it should be a good hunt as long as the elk can still be located after being pushed all...

Any thoughts on the new hunt? What are thoughts on points it will take to draw and is it worth burning very many points on? Haven't hunted during the spike hunt on the wasatch in several years. Thanks
