That's how successful my wife and were on our New Mexico tags this year.
0/2 on Barbary.
Only had 2 separate days to hunt. Saw a bunch. Had other hunters bump a herd we were stalking. Saw a bunch more on private land. All in all had a good time.
1/1 on Oryx.
Wife killed a very nice 37? bull on Rhodes canyon. At 11:30 am on Friday morning the 4 of us had yet to see an Oryx in real life. By 3:30 my wife put the final shot in her bull from 10 yards. 10/10 would recommend!
0/1 on Coues.
Never had a chance to even step into the unit. Due to work and other obligations. Life goes on.

Can you believe that's the first big game animal she's ever killed? This was the first year I've been able to talk her into applying for tags. What a way to start.

We got the skull back from the taxidermist a couple weeks ago. The hide is waiting to be tanned. She says she only wants to apply for hunts that have a 96% success rate from now on.
I think it’s my turn to draw the OIL tag this year.
